it is less than half nfl revenues despite 5x the games and more playoffs
Trying to compare anything to the NFL in this country is just pointless. Except maybe for porn.
True to an extent
But point is NFL runs things differently than NBA and is crushing NBA
Bonns argument is debateable.

I agree that the agility and length have improved but has the product? Are fans benefiting from two teams virtually unbeatable and lopsided scores. I think that more agile taller players who are allowed to handcheck would have an impact on 132 points being scored in a final. Great games in all sports hinge on defense and fostering a game that is dominated by guards and shuns big men is not in the Públics interest. Kareem, Elvin Hayes, Walton Ewing and Hakeem and so many others would Be shunned the way the game is played today.

Offense is dominating at this point of the game evolution... defense must be improved to counter this. And I think it will. The bigger problems are tanking and guarantied contracts. Teams should not be able to lock players for more that 2 years and players who do not perform should not have long guarantied contracts. Also 4 worst teams (or may be even 8) should be out of the league and 2 make their way back next season in qualifier. This will increase competition and kill tanking. Officiating is human thing. Officials should be motivated to make less mistakes which should affect their paycheck.

These are not realistic ideas. They'd be DOA. The NBAPA would strike for years before giving into that. A proposal will make the league more profitable only if it's realistic enough for the players and owners to agree to it. It doesn't matter if you think it would make the league better if both sides won't agree to it.
