Do you guys need an article to validate your opinion? Like things are only valid if a writer wrote about it first? Like it's a stupid trade idea until a writer makes an article? Im getting that impression

What you are just noticing this?

Nope just had to drop the gem.... unpause... if you will👮

Portland, Boston and Toronto get the best return for us and makes the most sense for everyone.

Melo is not going to Portland or Toronto. That would be a form of self exile. Boston has a very good team and unlimited options and one of them is definately not give up key pieces for Melo.

Wait, you come on here every day looking for validation? Just one more entry to the endless speculation/possibilities of what may happen to Melo. Which most sport fans, writers, forum junkies think they have an inside track to. And most on here like taking about. If fan forums were about predicting with 100% certainty what exactly is going to happen then UK would have no threads.

Realistically, there is only one place Melo will go. And I don't think either of those teams will have enough to offer Phil. I'm 100% of 50% sure of that.

I don't like the proposed Clipper trade at all. Redick and Melo are exactly the same age, Johnson isn't that good and will be thirty next season and Austin River is meh. The current report has Phil sending one of this years second round picks to the Clips. Unfortunately, this seems like the kind of thing Phil would do. Sixteen million a year for Reddick seems like a lot. With Noah the Knicks would have 34 mil going out to two guys that will be 33 next season. The contracts seem bad and if the goal is to have the franchise on a timeline with KP I don't see how this deal helps much. It will especially suck if the second rounder is Chicago's pick.

That's why I didn't mention them on my list. The Clippers is the obvious destination but there is no possible option that makes sense for our ball club going forward. They have no players worth the trouble and they have no picks that help us in 2017 or 2018

Your right. The only thing to keep an eye out for is the level of unsimpatico Phil is at with Melo. As we saw with Tyson, Smith amd Shump, if he feels it is time to turn the page, the return of assets is not the most important criteria. It seems like it is at that point. Unless he holds to his comments of not giving Melo up for inadequate value.

Not a lot of options, but if picks are sent back I really hate that trade as is. You got to assume other teams (on Melo's list) see that and think they can do better. Hopefully the rumors help, compared to the Demarcus Cousins trade where the get back for him was low because other teams didn't have a chance to give offers cause they didn't know it was going to happen.

I like the deal offered because Carroll's contract comes off the books in 2 years. Dont like hearing about taking back big contracts for 3 years or more, especially if they don't play like they're worth that kind of money. Feels like shooting ourselves in the foot, Knicks style.

True. Like the LA trade myself. Pick up a couple of players with potential. But it's anybody's guess what happens.

The Lakers trade or the Clippers? I only think the Clipper one is viable and I'd prefer we find a team to re-route JJ Redick to. If Redick would be interest in the Thunder, I'd re-route him and Rivers there and try to pry Victor Oladipo away from them. Oladipo might be a bit of a disappointment but I think he could thrive in the triangle since he's a significantly better version of Langston Galloway. And I think he could also play the Eric Bledsoe role in Jeff Hornancek's more uptempo offense.

I wouldnt mind Oladipo here either, high energy player. I get the feeling Oladipo would be a Garden favorite. Would embrace the challenge of playing in NYC.
