I would not go that far. He had a lot of in game and late game problems too. I do not care if he dated Barnes girl but he should not have left in the middle of training camp. What I will say that it did seem like after halftime when the knicks would get down Fisher would scrap the triangle and go with a more PnR based offense.

Yeah, he would run a 4/5 pick and roll with Melo and Rolo that was very effective. But he would save it for the 4th quarter. It allowed us to catch teams by surprise.

Ok, great young coach may be too strong.

But I thought he was a very promising young coach. And it really did seem like Melo trusted him, and KP, too.

I was mystified by his firing and I complained it seemed like he was being fired because he moved away from the Triangle at the time and some dudes here erupted in Phil support. Those same dudes were very pro-Rambis. Which is fine, except it turns out all the players hate Rambis, who has one of the worst winning percentages of any head coach ever.

Fisher's biggest knock as coach is that he could never settle on a starting lineup. Even when he found one that was playing well together. His reasoning was that it helped players adapt for any situation, but all it did was cause confusion, noone could get settled in their roles. Phil hired him while he was still a player, no coaching search, not to mention his fond affection for another players' wifes's........

Willy also liked Melo's IG does that mean he is off the list? Noah is friends with Rose and they are like blood brothers so who knows what Noah is thinking.

I will say this though. I highly highly doubt it was Sasha and I am beginning to think he is on the team for a reason other than his knowledge of the triangle. Rambis has his eye on the coaches and Sasha has his eye on the players.

Dude just got comfortable in his own misery.

Just enabling Melo by saying nothing when he doesn't play the right way is only ENABLING that kind of behavior. It's toxic for the entire team. The Knicks for too long have given Melo everything he's wanted. Maybe it's finally time to tell him to go pack his trash.

If you don't have the DIGNITY to act like a true professional ( you know, actually give MAX EFFORT) , then don't complain when your PRIDE gets butt hurt.

The point is that there isn't likely to be any "open rebellion" against the Triangle when most of the players including KP don't have a problem executing the Triangle! COME ON man. We know who the trouble makers probably are.

All you're doing is proving Phil's point that Melo has to go!!! He's not good for this team. KP spoke vociferously in favor of implementing the Triangle!!! I listed MOST of the team that showed they can actually execute the Triangle. Phil noted in his press conference that the remaining players at the end of the season were playing the right way and so that only leaves BJ, Rose and Melo as possible sources for this crap.

Yes, Phil has Maurice N'Dour and Sasha on his side.

Melo has KP and Willy and the Player's Association.

It's not really a fair fight, but Phil did ask for it. And give Melo the no trade. Somewhere, Jerry Krause is smiling.
