PGs sometimes need more seasoning than other positions
Great point about Billups. Mudiay was top 4 on a lot of draft boards. He is a worth while risk on a rookie deal.

I'm surprised he's faded so much as a player. Seemed to recall him playing well against us in a number of games.

I saw early on that D was going to be an issue with him...was always surprised at how he drifted so much as a defender.

Really depends on what we'd have to give up for him, but I find it stunning that Denver has given up on him so soon...and that is hardly a good recommendation for his ability as a player.

Yeah that's an understatement!

FG% by distance:
0-3 Feet: .506
3-10: .241
10-16: .263
16- <3: .354
3 Pointers: .309

I don't know why the guy is taking 3 to 4 three point shots a game.

isnt he still on his rookie deal? at the very least hes cheap labor for the nuggets
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

The Nuggets probably cannot get more than a 2nd rounder for him--or a pseudo #1 that turns into 2's. The question--would you take him with pick 31 in this draft--answer --easy yes. If he was in school hed be among the guys picked in the top 5. For the cheap $--you want to get him back to some of the big time potential he did show in the NBA. We play a system that uses a big PG--Id rather have Mudiay than Baker. Im not convinced in anyway that baker is even an NBA player. This is a diversion of my own thought process of having your guards shoot no less then 45% 39% 3 80% but this is an unusual player who could turn it around in a big way.

Build the middle and surround with players who can use the dribble or shoot the three. BIGGER players.

But he's a cheap bum and young, so worth the gamble- we need to lose for a few season, so he'd be a low risk, high reward move (as long as we didn't give up anything of value)

Not cheap enough. He has the Larry brown curse.

We don't need him.

Billups was really good in college to earn that draft position. He than had to adjust to speed of NBA.
Mundiay had a few good games in China vs a few years in college.

If Denver is willing to give him away sure but there's no way we should be giving up anything of actual value for him. He didn't do much of anything in China and he's done nothing in the NBA either. Only reason he's worth giving a shot to is that he was a fairly highly regarded prospect and he's still young.

He was a mystery prospect. Cmon folks. Don't let the hype fool you twice

D.williams and m.beasley dominated in college and underwhelmed in pros

This guy was a sales job. Don't be surprised he underwhelmed in pros

There's nothing there worth risking the time and opportunity and certainly not a pick

Much prefer baker and randle at this point

Mudiay would be an interesting flier as part of a larger trade ( i.e. he is not the main piece, but a smaller complementary piece. ) But I doubt a larger trade is possible between the current two franchise rosters.

No stone should be left unturned, but the Nuggets would likely get the same trade return waiting to deal him as they would if they dealt him right now. So to them, it's worth it to have him as depth, and see if he can't develop a little more.

Sometimes a player does just need a change of scenery, but the Knicks should honestly concentrate on guys with strong fundamentals first and foremost. High level tools that you hope might translate would be useful for a team in a different situation than the Knicks. A team like the Warriors can bet on tools a little more on a flier type player, but the Knicks just need guys who can play actual team ball.

I think the Knicks can get Mudiay for pennies this offseason
