Phil has won 13 championships, including the last 2 won by the NY Knicks. Any teaching he does will be very helpful.

It seems clear that Jackson is intent on running the triangle, as sources with knowledge of the workout told ESPN that he was hands on in instructing the offense with Knicks guards before the workout. Jeff Hornacek has acknowledged that the team has run more often triangle lately. He says he welcomes Jackson's input, but a team president conducting a workout with players is not the norm around the NBA. Not the norm in the NBA is our new normal. On one hand I can understand that the team has under performed since Jan, but being undermined by your boss isn't really a confidence builder for the coach in front of his team and I would think it doesn't help the coach maintain respect from his players. This is not only not the norm in the NBA but in any business where you have a chain of command. Maybe it's fine, maybe Jeff should start being concerned for his job and the players. If I was a player I'D be confused as to who I was supposed to listen to 'but coach, Phil told us to do it that way'. Not good but this is the dysfuntional world of the Knicks. Phil probably means well, but the result could just wind up hurting the team if the players stop listening to the coach. Then again, could just be nothing at all and no big deal. Dunno, wasn't there. In my job, I wouldn't be happy about it and I'd start looking over my shoulder if my boss had to do my job |

Bondy wrote an article praising the Knicks youth movement that was widely praised here. But I bet now he's a troll just trying to make the Knicks look bad again, instead of someone saying "hey this is a bad situation."

Phil has been bad in this regard. Bad at trades. Bad at free agents. Good at the draft with limited picks. ¿ △ ?
