Ball movement starts with the PG. When we had Kidd here, the ball flew around the court til it found the open man. Passing is contagious and Rose doesn't do it. Rubio does. Massive failure by Phil to not see this and jump at it.
Please STOP! You think Phil doesn't see something that's obvious to all??? I mean this is Phil Jackson who made his career on sacrifice for the team and playing team ball. There's more to the story than Phil just dropping the ball as you're assuming. There's nothing that you're seeing that Phil is somehow oblivious to.
Nixluva, when the rumor came out that this deal was a possibility YOU were one of the very first to respond and screamed PLEASE GET IT DONE. What changed. I agree 100% with what you wrote here.
nixluva wrote:PLEASE, PLEASE let this happen!!! Rose has been such a tease with his game being so selfish and disconnected emotionally. Rose needs to go and I'd offer to drive him to Minny at this point. Just hope this really happens.
It's not about Rubio being so great but at least he loves passing the ball and making his teammates better!!!
I think Phil tried to make the deal but wanted a different deal than the TWolves. That's not the same thing as saying Phil doesn't get it or understand it. Phil does know the necessary ingredients to winning but it's not NBA 2k and it's very difficult to actually make deals or find a way to get top tier talent.
As for what yellowboy90 brings up about Rose, Noah or AA not being what Phil hoped for sure there fans on EVERY SIDE of any move and cherry picking the ones Phil got wrong doesn't prove a damn thing.
Most of the players have actually done well despite the losing this year.
Unfortunately Rose in particular hasn't played a winning style of ball. It was still worth a shot given the lack of other options to put a team together around Melo this year. Who else was legitimately available on a one year deal that kept options open? Noah hasn't been as bad as some think. Just couldn't stay healthy. BJ was a good backup and CLee has been about what was expected.
