Salaries still have to match... Rose and KOQ together make double what Rubio makes. I mentioned Pekovic and Lavine and everyone lost their minds....the salary had to come from somewhere to make the trade work. If not from the T'Wolves then a 3rd team would have to jump in. Minnesota is about $13 million below the cap. They could easily absorb the difference of Rose's salary and O'Quinn with that cap space and Rubio's contract. But like I said though, if I'm giving up O'Quinn, they definitely need to take Noah.

Rose, Noah and O'Quinn for Rubio, Pekovic and Jordan Hill works financially and saves us $11 million in the process. I'm not sure that giving up O'Quinn in what amounts to a salary dump is a good idea though.

Aren't the T'Wolves under the cap and able to absorb the contracts???

That just stuck out to me, because I remember Phil tried to get Reggie Jackson when he did the Shump/JR trade.

That'd be a terrible move. Reggie Jackson seems to be a cancer in lockerroom that has burned bridges in OKC and has done the same in DET. Why add that to a rebuilding team, especially when it is obvious that he aimply isn't that good?

It wouldn't be my first choice... but it stuck out to me because I remember Phil was interested in him.

i wouldn't overplay our hand.. i agree i'd like bazz or a pick back also, but rose is only a 3 month rental, so i'm not sure how much we can hold out for.

Rubio's contract goes for two years longer than Rose's - we're helping the T'Wolves out here immensely.

Other thing is that if the reports are true they are approaching us.

If we can't get this year's #1 from them, I'd push for their #2 and some kind of protected #1 (top 5?) next year.

Sick of getting taken advantage by other teams over the years when it comes to draft picks.
