Are you kidding? How many Knick teams has Melo carried by his will and determination? Does he wear down? Absolutely. Did you watch last night's game with Dakich and JVG? Dakich had a great line. He said, Carmelo Anthony is not the problem. Rose and Porzingis are talented but... KP was sick but there are a lot of things he needs to improve on. JVG on Melo, he works so hard but makes it look so easy. He is doing that against a really good nba defender with length. I guess you see what you want to see. Sometimes fresh eyes provide a good perspective.

I was against the melo trade (and honestly, that post trade Melo and Billups team was one of the most boring Knicks team to watch), but he impressed me when he put the team on his shoulders and forced us into the playoffs twice. Once, the first year he was here (I think Billups and STAT got injured), and then again after D'Antoni got fired (and I think Amar'e and Lin were out injured)

Melo is who he is. He's a great player whether people want to admit it or not. He's just not a top tier, Mt. Rushmore level player. Funny how players & coaches (except George Karl) know this but fans don't.

He's been a very good player. Top 7-15 any given year. Not worth top 5 money. Not worth top 5 money. $25mil a year at any point in his career.
