Stop the madness. No one wins a chip with one superstar.
Do we have any right now? No
Is Melo still one? No
Is KP one yet? No
Anyone else? Rose? Gimme a break.
So we have one Potential Superstar on the rise. And we have one Hall of Famer on the decline.
And we would trade that Potential Superstar to play what...Russian Roulette again? 2 first round picks...all of which we do not know whether they are going to be studs or not.
We dont know that about KP either, but most critics are 95% sure that he'll get there.
You trade that away for 2 picks that may or may not get there.
Good PGs will be available every single draft (which is our biggest need).
A 7'3 baller with potential of really becoming a Durant-Dirk combo....why would you trade that for 2 picks?
Ever wonder whether the reason why he had foot issues has little to do with his lack of strength, but more so coach's recognition of his strength and conditioning?? KP does not have an NBA body yet and he is already making plays like we haven't seen before from a 7 footer. And the coach, to solidify his status was playing KP big mins to get Ws. The kid took on the challenge...but he is still a kid!
Giannis handling....so different.
KP season 1 - 28.5 mins. Giannis - 24.5
Season 2 - 33.75 mins. Giannis - 31.3
Why is KP not being progressed slowly? Why is he being expected to save this franchise in his second year in the league? That's a management problem, not a player problem.
Giannis is essentially a guard in a larger body and can create more for himself with speed.
But he still cannot match KP's crossover. KP is slower up and down the floor.
But you replace Melo with Giannis on the current Knicks, and you've essentially got a team that would challenge the Cavs, PG problems and all!
Giannis is now an all-star in his 4th year in the league, Give KP 2 more years...he'll get there.
Answer this....would the Bucks trade Giannis for 2 first round picks? I mean their record is 21-23. Not much better than ours. Is Giannis single-handedly turning that team into a winner? No, I don't think so.
But the Bucks have already signed him to a long term deal and he took less. Their supporting cast is supposedly more team oriented than ours, but they have just 1 more win for the season. Ask anyone in Bucks mgmt or fan base, if they'd trade him for 2 first round picks.
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL
