Now all 4 players may not be at their best or in the case of 3 out of the 4, they can not sustain heavy minutes at that level, but we saw on Saturday night those skills. You didn't see Calderon initiate breaks or break down a defense with penetration. You didn't see Lopez (as solid as he was in the paint) pass or board and bring that atmosphere and energy to the team.
We have a much much more talented team here. I'm looking forward to it. We should let the season play out and then worry about the rest. These guys aren't that old. Melo still has 2 more years at an all star level. Rose is still in his 20s.
I would disagree. It's easy to get talent if you overpay. The hardest thing in this league, especially with the new CBA, is to get good value.
And how does one measure value, oh wizard of the calculator? Do you divide salary by number of chips?
How about Cablevision's bottom line? How's Jimmie's investment doing so far?
Melo in nice luxury item to show in your building and a lot of tourist and celebs will come to watch it at the Garden.
No doubt he is a good investment for Dolan and MSG.
He is money well spend for the owner.
What I get as a fan so far... not much.
Bunch of buckets I guess on even bigger bunch of attempts.
Some bully ball and isolations. What else... some drama...
I never paid for this zo... even a $1 so may be it is good enough?
Simple question, Can you name anyone in the league that would have won with the roster given to him the last three years? Last I checked this is not a one man sport. Most complaining are whining fans that are unrealistic about the game. They want that magic unicorn that can allow them to brag about how good their team is. Just takes more than one guy. The last year we surrounded him with decent mixture of young talent and vets he won 54 games. Just because people hype up mediocre players like Calderon, Afflalo, Grant, O'Quinn, Galloway,(should I go on), before the season, doesn't mean they are worth a ****. But I get it, unrealistic fans need to blame someone for spoiling their self imposed crazy expectations.
stop infantilizing carmelo anthony. he could have waited for free agency back in 2011 and had a much better team to come to. that trade set the franchise back several years and they are only starting to recover now. in that time d'antoni and walsh resigned, jeremy lin was chased out of town, and we had one jason kidd-infused season that was spanked in the second round, largely due to woodson's desperate coaching style....
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
