He's just the right kind of player for a team looking to have a winning attitude. Players like Noah definitely change the culture. The goal is not only for Noah to play well, but for him to help the young guys develop faster and by being around Noah for the next year or more it's a good influence. |

Sure he's an awesome mentor to learn from, but nobody pays that kind of money the Knicks have for that. You get a Juwan Howard like Miami did for such things, actual older vets similar to the 2012-2013 team. Rasheed was injured, and Camby was old as was Kurt thomas, those guys sign on for cheap for the mentoring, play a little every now and then role. Definitely a good influence, no doubt, but he is being paid primarily for his skills on the court. |

I said "not only for Noah to play well, but for him to help the young guys". I don't think Noah is going to ever play 82 games anymore but his extra value is his leadership which he's ALREADY started doing!!! That stuff is invaluable and just another coach doesn't bring his particular intensity. The rest of the team can pick up a lot even in practice from Noah. We're paying him for on court and off court. |

My comment was based on the premise of the last 2 years of his deal in the previous comments. he'll be still expected to play. Of course he's displaying leadership qualities, but the team isn't paying those premiums for that primarily. |

It's a failure in my mind if the Knicks can't develop KP or someone else to take the lead in the front court. Right now is not the time to be worried about it tho. |

The moment he was casted to the bench his leadership primarily left as well, and it actually seemed to be a good move as while he was productive off the bench he wound up being injured and missed the majority of the season, and in most years with the Bulls record, they would have made the playoffs even without his services. So good luck with the bench route if Noah believes he can still play as a starter. Even I don't believe he'll be so diminished that he'll need to be a backup. He'll have plenty of life to start and finish games. I also don't a center in KP despite his height. |

That's why i couldn't understand Aldridge Concerns about playing center, most of the big men in the league are face up shooters, aint that much banging in the paint like before ES

The league has so many small-ball NBA teams .. NBA centers has become obsolete, which are why the average NBA team now look weaker than the old NCAA teams back when they only sent college-players to the USA basketball Olympics, back then the average college player joined the NBA after their Junior or senior year. Its a pity now that the Shaqs Duncans D.Howards and Marc Gasols dont have a place in the NBA any longer. |
