Ugly for him yes, but NY has already been through this stuff: Isiah/Anucha, Ewing lap dance etc. We will shrug it off and move on. I cannot teach anybody anything. The only person thats affected by this is you.....The knicks are fine. This is baggage he received when he was with the Bulls. JR Smith reckless driving killed his passenger. Ray Lewis was accused of murder, and he's currently a well known celebrity here in bmore and he's well respected. Some people continue to hold on to peoples negative past, others move on. Brady continued to lie about all the allegations against him and the franchise. He dragged it out all season.....4 weeks into the season, after throwing several TD's everything will be back to normal. This will pass, just like Trumps racist comments and his campaign manager calling women dikes. People do and say a lot of cruel things in this world.....But sports has a way to erase negativity, if you allow your game to speak for itself. I can see Rose using this to fuel his game on the court.....And I don't see how this will set the franchise back......Isiah Thomas is a good example. He's still employed by the knicks, after everything he's been through. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

I believe the texts may not exonerate but would certainly be contributing evidence in negotiating a settlement.

While this is true it is also wrong. The Michael Vicks and the Isiahs of the world should not be forgiven. Our need for entertainment allows us to gloss over crimes against humanity and society. Sports doesn't speak for itself when it makes acts of cruelty forgotten it only speaks to how far we have fallen. I don't think NY will hold this against Rose, but I think it should. If DK7th is the only person affected by one of our "star" players being accused of rape or sexual assault it only shows how pathetic the rest of us are as human beings. "this too will pass" is a fatuous fantasy that some knick fans blithely promote. the reality is the media will grab this and hold on ferociously. "the medium is the message" if rose's lawyer's are savvy-- rose is likely a clueless dunce-- they will dumb down the issue for him and urge him to settle. sadly, it seems that they are going the a-rod route of deny deny deny and counterattack. that isn't going to go over too well in court, will it? i hope jennings is getting his shyt together. knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Some excused the DFish drama that season he got his ass beat by Barnes. I said it would be a ticking time bomb, and sure enough, he lost the locker room and his job shortly after. The actions and things you do have a butterfly effect, and we're simply not a good enough organization to endure bad characters. History says so. Things like this don't just get brushed underneath the rug. They fester like a motherphucker. |
