it is actually better that he is jumping less as is less reliant on his legs as he ages.
I'd rather he be a 6'8 Ray Allen at this point in his career. Don't handle the rock at all, just go around a screen or 2, 1 or 2 dribble max pull up, definitely catch and shoot, and camp in the corner ready for the kickout 3 player.
That would be ideal for the Knicks, to properly squeeze the remaining last 3 years of Melo's albatross contract.
