Good point. I gotta real hunch we will see Westbrook in the bright lights of NY.

Anyway we can trade for Westbrook by the deadline and not have to wait til the summer of 2017?

Yes on both counts. A weak move by KD joining a 73 win team. Pussy. Would have earned more respect if he taken on the challenge of returning to OKC or embarking with NYK, Celts, Washington etc. Think Westbrook will seekk his own legacy and join either LA or Knicks knowing that he would become a huge celebrity here and a gawd if he could led us to the promised land.

Lebron did the same. Once he wins a few rings it won't be an issue. This is worse for the league though. Durant might win the 7 rings Lebron was expecting. He's joining a team of stars in their prime unlike Wade. GS is so much deeper. This isnt fair


ACtually, Lebron, for what it is worth, did not come to a team that had been in consecutive finals, and might have won two in a row but for a flagrant foul.

Miami had a first round exit the year before James and Bosh showed up.

You also had Bosh having to change his game for the team to be effective.

I don't see it as the same thing.

Warriors had a great chance of winning it all without Durant this year...KD is just jumping on the bandwagon.

Players might not say it out loud, but many are probably thinking that Durant took the coward's way out of OKC.

KD did the right thing. He wasn't winning in OKC. This year was their chance they weren't getting any closer. I have more respect for him for chasing a ring then only chasing a max contract with a team that can't realistically win

calling a player a ***** for making a choice that increase his chances for a ring is highly uncalled for IMO. HE didnt make any false promises to any team and said from day 1 that he will make the best decision for winning which he did. Maybe if the knicks drafted better and made better moves the past decade he would be joining us

Unfortunately this is great for the NBA in terms of viewers.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Wholeheartedly agree. Really think Westbrook on the other hand has bigger balls and wants the stage here or LA to take on the challenge

I've always liked Durant...now I have to dislike him.

Very sad day, and I actually feel bad for OKC, which seems to have done everything it can to make the team a winner.

I know that Starks and Ewing would not have gone to the Bulls in their primes.

I cannot agree more with this- the only thing that would have seemed worse is if he had done it after consecutive championships for GS.
