Begley saying that Knicks have interest in Tim Frazier. That's a hopeful sign.

I'd at least reach out.

I would love for them to sign Curry cause the two names i've heard they're looking at are R.Foye and Tim Frazier and i'd rather Curry over either of those two.

At least frazier can play a little. Im not sure if foye has anything left.

We might as well play a D league guard over Foye. Does anyone here really believe they couldnt provide what Foye does

It sounds like the Knicks are trying to get Tim Frazier. Frazier is good, is a high character guy and I believe was Damian Lillard's favorite teammate.

I doubt that D Williams returns and OQuinn apparently on the block. If Galloway freed up as well we've 2 guards to fill and if Hokiday has to compete for his job as Coach H said, it could be three. I can see Jackson and Coach opting for Foye as he has experience that both Curry and Frazier lack. Yet if they need to replace Gallo and Holiday as well, then if Curry can play bring him on. Hopefully he'll be better than Shane Larkin.

Holiday is going to be on this roster. Being in the rotation will be the question.

DWill might not get a much bigger offer. He's a low priority player from what I can tell. If a team gave him a bigger offer I suspect he would've taken it already.

Knicks can match any offer for Gallo so he's a lock to stay.

KOQ is the guy that is on the trading block. He is the most expendable player and his contract is cap friendly.

Phi looked at him last year and passed him up...no?

At least we could have seen how he fit if we had given him a 10 day contract.

I think DWill will be getting a much better offer which sucks. I really want him back. He would be great in the newer offense this yr. I think he does want to return if possible. Maybe giving PHIL some time to open some money up.

Did they rescind the qualifying offer (1.1 million according to hoops hype) to Frazier?
If not, not sure how we get him.

You're joking with that part, right?

It's low % and he made a point to acknowledge that but it's something that I've thought all along too when thinking about him.

Seth's well on his way to carving out his own niche. He can play in the NBA for sure--he was good in college, great in the DL and he played VERY WELL for the Kings last year. Lights out shooter and he's a capable passer/facilitator too. Still some decent options at backup PG:

Cat Barber - UDFA on Pel's SL team. I'd approaching him and sign him to a guaranteed contract right now without hesitation.

Seth Curry
Tim Frazier

Gary Payton II - UDFA on the Rockets' SL team. I believe they already inked him up to one of those 3-year partially guaranteed deals. Morey's always been on top of his game with these type of players..Someone to keep an eye on.
Yogi Ferrell - we suddenly like Tim Frazier, huh? Why would we not have brought Ferrell to SL then? Similar player--younger and he'd come cheaper than Frazier. Poor planning by the Knicks not to see where FA could've been headed well ahead of time and then stack the SL team accordingly with much better players than they did. They just don't take SL as seriously as some other teams and it shows. Frustrating as hell .

Corey Walden - on Boston's SL team -- there's no way he makes the Celtics' roster -- I still like him a lot though. A better all-around version of Langston Galloway if you ask me.

---------------

2 SGs I continue to like for us: Terrico White and Jabari Brown. I'd like to go one more deep at this position behind Lee and Holiday if possible.

---------------

Still have to sign Willy H. I wonder what his number is and how that affects signing a guy like Seth Curry or Frazier.

Ive read we dont have the cap space to sign Foye. I wouldnt give Foye a dollar over the vet min. The Knicks really need a backup point guard but if its a choice of Foye vs Williams id roll with a Dleaguer before making that swap

Try zero %. It doesn't make any sense. A superstar brother is motivated to play on the team of a barely in the league brother's team? You can't be serious.

Where's Bryce Cotton these days? Very similar to Frazier -- might be even quicker/more athletic and a better shooter.. Scour the landscape, Phil..

I can't think of a lot of guys but he has been doing this for awhile. Troy Daniels? He brought in Patrick Beverly. The Rockets were using their d league team to develop their own guys and also guys they were interessted in better than most of the rest of the nba a few years back. I think teams have caught up but Morey has been resourceful in finding guys.

I wonder if Phil was just locked in on wanting big point guards. Frazier should have been given a shot.

The point is, if the guy ahead of everyone else on it and who does it all the time hasn't really converted many of these projects into useful players, maybe the practice is overrated?

I think you have to look for talent where ever you can find it. If it involves developing talent at the d league franchises need to embrace that and do it. A lot of guys have come up from the d league. Looking at free agency two big names, Lin and Whiteside both were d leaguers. The Knicks have Lance Thomas and Langston Galloway in the rotation. Both guys are from there. I also think the nba as a whole is using the d league more as a minor league system.

What I like about Seth Curry is that he can fit in and play 1 or 2 and he gives us something we don't have a guy who has the ability to be a 45% 3 point shooter. We have the main guys if you add in players who stretch the floor and have the ability to get hot from 3 -- that will create space for everyone. It's a secondary weapons n which helps everyone. I like Frazier to no crying if we get him. If we do get Demetrius Jackson I'd go for Curry as Jackson and Frazier are somewhat similar
