Assuming we get either Gordon or Lee, i would go to war with that team against anyone in a 7 game series and think we would be the 2nd best team in the east come playoff time. Getting to that point is the challenge with health, but if they take care of their bodies and don't play heavy minutes, it could be good. No doubt this group is tough as nails and will step up when needed.

was rose healthy last year?

they can be a very exciting team if everything goes perfectly but the risk factor is enormous.

There's ALWAYS risk!!! You can't determine who will have a freak injury or not with 100% accuracy. There was a time not too long ago when some where worried Steph was never gonna stay healthy. Worried Durant was a health risk!!! Livingston should never have made it back. Grant Hill was a wreck for years. Remember that??? Players do recover sometimes and you have to allow that they can overcome injury issues.

oy vey! they are not all the same risks.

This is like a 500 pound fat smoker saying "how can you predict who is gonna die? Look at bob, he is in perfect shape and never did anything unhealthy and one day, boom! dead! See? Ain't nothin wrong with being a 500 pound smoker. Gotta live and take risks cause we don't know what the plan is for us."

Why must you always exaggerate to try and make your point seem more important? I just listed a group of players that successfully overcame injury issues. It does and can happen. ACL's, Meniscus, Shoulder Dislocations... Players have been able to overcome such injuries. It's a risk but not a guarantee of failure. The upside for this team is immense. That's why you take the risk.

The key is going to be making sure the team has quality depth and that they don't overwork these players. MOST injury is the result of pushing thru fatigue. If you lighten the work load and make sure of proper rest much of the risk can be reduced.

Lol, you name checked 4 guys; Durant had one injury not multiple injuries over multiple years and Grant Hill and Shaun Livingston had their HOF-potential careers ruined. When they did back, after missing years with injuries, they were only solid backup players on good teams. And it's not as if our training staff has a stellar track record.

Quick check. Durant has a history of problems with his Jones fracture. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.sbnation.com/2015/3/20/8265889/kevin-durant-complete-injury-timeline-foot-thunder&ved=0ahUKEwiZuo_-y9PNAhVM1CYKHRFoD98QFgggMAE&usg=AFQjCNFtBgOB0XyCeYkoJz9oeeS2Dk2HTA

Plus he admitted he had a second fracture on the same foot http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2547417-kevin-durant-reveals-unknown-bone-break-in-foot-but-says-hes-healthy-now#

And second, when was Shaun Livingston ever considered a potential future hall of famer?

Don't mean to get in the middle of your argument but i do not think you are being factually correct.

Maybe I was wrong about Durant but everyone thought Livingston was going to be a superstar before his injury.

I'll give you Hill because he was on his way, but saying Livingston was too is like saying Michael Carter Williams is a future hall of famer. Livingston's size made him stand out more than anything, imo, not to say he was a bad player, he was good. I just dont think he was great.

Rose improved greatly towards the end of last year. He has something to prove and is playing for another payday. If he blows we say bye bye and we gave up nothing worth of any value. People calling Grant a loss are probably the same people who were calling J Lin an up and coming all star.

Not official but looks like Noah is NYC bound. Tough, gritty, play off battled tested player who brings a 90's Knicks I'll clothesline you if you come down the line type of guy. Didn't play much last year but to me it means he's rested and had a chance to heal up.

Looks like Gordon is coming. Injury prone as well but who isn't these days.

The bottom line is that Melo has 2-3 years left of balling left in him and whether you like it or hate it, he's here to stay! It's time to make a run.

C - Noah
PF - Kristaps
SF - Melo
SG - Gordon
PG - Rose

Plus whatever else we add is much better than where we were unless we have people who enjoy 30 win seasons.

LETS GO KNICKS!!!!

3 years too late....Melo should've bounced there and both teams would live happily ever after.

Now we got this crusty broken down team of has beens.
