I'd love to hear an explanation on this. It couldn't be a move for more cap room, right? And this kid was on cloud 9 only days ago, talking about being the Knicks next starting PG. Would he talk like that if he wasn't healthy or at least feeling good about his health and chances of making it back??
Bottom line -- minus Grant now, we need viable PG depth more than ever. Derrick Rose doesn't change anything -- in fact, a good part of me suddenly feel less secure about our PG position. Who knows what Rose has left, no Grant, and now no Wroten... Still need to sign someone who can ably run the point (Bayless? Seth Curry?) and I still like targeting one of these young PGs late 1st/early-mid 2nd round: Cat Barber, Demetrius Jackson, Yogi Ferrell, Kay Felder, Marcus Paige, Gary Payton II... Or sign Corey Walden who'd come dirt cheap. Walden's a guy I consider an upgrade combo guard over Galloway--Walden has a better handle, much better drive & finish ability, he's as good a shooter if not better and has more PG skills. Wouldn't even be sacrificing any of LG's defense--Walden's been known as a defender going back to college. Better version of Galloway in about every facet of the game. This would be a great off-the-radar signing imo.
