I did not say that others can't see it, I said I can't see it.

my (main) issue is that a former assistant turned interim coach turned coach who almost got the head coaching job will be a POSSIBLE uncomfortable situation for our new coach.

Do I think that JH would choose Rambis as an assistant out of the blue? Hell no ... but thats just me.

bottom line is JH knows Rambis. They were teammates for a couple years. After that regardless of if they stayed social or not they certainly saw each other around the NBA camp circle. Do you really think JH is worried about Rambis? In what capacity? JH knows Rambis just fine I am sure. Would Rambis be one of Jeff's own first picks? Surely not, but does adding Rambis to his staff accelerate trust and good working with the pres and FO? I am sure it does, and that is simply called creating a friendly open work environment for yourself.

Everything I have read says that Jeff would have gotten another job, if not a HC job a than he replaces Walton in GS. So Jeff takes the Knicks gig and tells Phil sure man...
