she would own NY and she would "attract" free agents
Re: "attract" — a sly joke here? FYI, you do know what team she plays for, right? And I ain't talking about Russia.
She used to do some commentary with Al Trautwig on MSG before she got the Spurs gig.
She is from Big Sky Country. Could see eye-to-eye with President Zen. But she is part of an incredible organization right now. I agree with NYNY on this.
so you think that she would not leave for this opportunity? Of course she would. In a heartbeat.
Maybe, maybe not. Only she knows. But doubt she'd do it because she thinks she would "own" NY or "attract" FAs. That is more of my quibble with your take. Don't understand exactly what you mean.
And the larger point that NYNY made is that she knows both what NYC — the Garden specifically — and SA have to offer her as organizations. But I don't know her enough to know what her career goals are.
if she comes here then she would be writing history and the media frenzy would be linsanity x 100.
I think that the attention as well as her reputation would make NY a helluva lot more attractive than it is now with Phil being Phil and Rambis being just a stubborn dummy.
This was a good article:

She has a higher probability of being success coaching for the Spurs and waaaaaay less pressure. We don't offer a winning situation currently. Which will immediately hurt her coaching record. Then we would have fans bashing her for not having a winning record. Then there will probably be some type of created drama from "sources" about how players don't respect her because she is a woman.
So if she were to evaluate NYs tendency to tear people down. To go with high possibility of drama and distractions created by "sources". To go along with a good possibility that her record may not start off so good. She could do major damage to her coaching career before she even really got started.
Its not worth it. If NY had a ready made team then it would be worth the shot.
