Chandler wrote:I cant imagine Pacers re-signing him. Bird is pretty reserved guy generally and over this past week he has uttered what can only be considered as votes of "no confidence". If he was really on the fence he would have played it even tighter to the chest. There is something he just doesn't like about Vogel at this point. Seriously, would you want to go back to Indy, if you were Vogel, after that Agree completely with all this. Posted this in the other Vogel thread, but here is some of what Bird has said past few days that makes it seem unlikely Vogel returns. Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: ¿ △ ?

Seriously, would you want to go back to Indy, if you were Vogel, after that He had Paul George and needed a point guard. Leonard was the 15th pick might not have developed in Indy, and its entirely possible they go in another direction. Look at that draft:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_NBA_draft#Draft_selections You need a guard, a PG, who do take THAT DAY? Isiah Thomas at the 60th Pick!!!!!! c'mon man, Bird is not thinking about that. All GM's have hindsight regrets. Fact the draft is not easy. Key to success is have good scouting and make lots of picks which increases the odds off success. |

Seriously, would you want to go back to Indy, if you were Vogel, after that We not talking about Hinkie. We talking Larry Bird who traded a 15th pick for George Hill and possible regret. We talking about Spurs winning long term by making multiple picks and a taking risks.
