I think of the realistic candidates, he's my top choice.

Though of course, Bird could always just re-sign him.

The real issue will be what does Vogel want. He will immediately jump to number one on a lot of lists. I couldn't be more thrilled if he coaches the Knicks. He's better than Thib and has none of those headaches.

He had Paul George and needed a point guard. Leonard was the 15th pick might not have developed in Indy, and its entirely possible they go in another direction.

c'mon man, Bird is not thinking about that. All GM's have hindsight regrets. Fact the draft is not easy. Key to success is have good scouting and make lots of picks which increases the odds off success.
