I know a lot of people are down on Jackson but I think he's a better than average coach and not a bad guy to work on turning things around. I'm not crazy about his Rev. Jackson side and I can't imagine that that would play well in NY but I'd be okay with Jackson coaching the Knicks. I watched his work at GS closely and while, yes, he's sometime awful with the Xs and Os and he tends to run rather simple offenses, he's pretty good with developing younger players, holding players responsible, and focusing on defense. If, if, if he's learned how to work with other people--something that he failed at at GS and probably what got him fired--then he might make a fine Knicks coach for the next couple of years.

I don't think we need Ewing to sell seats since we sell out every home game already.

I don't think its as much to sell seats as to sell hope - Ewing would be a feel good story and perhaps cover over some of the animosity for losing.

Fisher was in over his head - and that was Phil's fault. Ewing has put in the work, like he always did. I'd root for the team with him here. Fisher was not a knick, and I really didn't have a connection with him.

Also, Isola and Tommy D seem to go at it quite a bit on twitter. Isola is bashing this rumor as false saying that MJax wouldn't discuss a job where a coach was in place.

Isola SUCKS! 1st of all Rambis is cool with whatever Phil is doing. You think he isn't already aware of what Phil is thinking and doing? Isola has no clue what Phil and Rambis talk about. Rambis knows he wasn't gonna just get the job and he said as much when he 1st stepped into the head coach spot. Nothing wrong with the team president talking to coaches with an interim coach in place.

For my money, Isola is one of the more honest beat reporters.

Is he hard on the team? Yes.

But guess what, we just had our 7th 50 loss season since trading Ewing. And we had two other seasons with 49 losses.

That's NINE SEASONS with 49 losses since trading Ewing.

NINE, MAN. In 15 years.

To repeat one last time - nine seasons of 49 losses or more in 15 years. NINE.

Honestly the first time I have ever heard, or read, anyone say this about Isola.

Personally...I don't watch "Around the Horn" whenever he is on...that's how much full of sh!!t I think he is....

I really do think the Rev. Jackson part of Jax might be a serious problem for the Knicks. (It's something of a problem for me.)

One thing I like about MJ is that if you look at the players who passed through GS, guys that Jax developed to varying degrees, all seem to have learned things about playing NBA ball while they were at GS. Bazemore and Lin, for example. Not to mention Green, Thompson, Curry, etc. There are some failures but a surprising number of guys passing through GS got their **** together there. Jax seems like a Van Gundy kinda coach in some ways. You want to play? You do the work, make the plays, pay your dues, learn the game. . . otherwise, you sit.
