Anyway, Rambis is just parroting what Phil wants to say. Fisher sounds like he was trying to speed up the tempo from last year and incorporate some new sets to get into sets quicker. Teams know what is coming and that's why once teams start applying real pressure to the knicks guards things break down.

I can see Carmelo staying and the Knicks again improving by 10 wins next year. Melo is correct, continuity is the key.
The core that Phil has assembled is excellent - not yet winners, but excellent.

Porzingus is a rare talent and will anchor the team for years assuming no major injuries.

Grant and Galloway will be sophomore guards next year and they'll just keep getting better.

If Wroten is truly healed that will be three developing backcourt players who have upside.

Derrick Williams was a find and one I think the Knicks will resign.

I expect Hernangomez to complement ROLO, Melo, and Porzingus in the front-court.

I don't expect to see O'Quinn, Seraphin, Early, Calderon, Amundson, or Afflalo back.

Talent wise we are where we should be.

Coaching wise Rambis is doing what needs to be done for us moving forward. We can show players how we want to play and how we can fit them in certain spots. We need a player to fill Calderón and Sasha spots. They both suck but the style they are playing shows guys how we want to play.

If you are going by record alone and won't think beyond that then I can't argue with ignorance.

Rambis dont coach confidence nor could Rambis point out opponents weakness at halftime.
Melo style of play will never fit into a triangle offense or a SSOL offense ..
Melo lack of defense and the transition running game has been clueless on pushing the ball to score on a fast break since Syracuse.
Afflalo is not creative enough to be in a triangle offense, plus his lack of defense of staying infront of his man as a defender is worse than the inconsistent performance he show nightly.
Calderon needs a head coach like SVG, Sloan, or Calyle to call each play for him from the bench, which u cant do in a triangle offense.
And Porzingis is a BIGGER Project than what we thought on draft night .. KP is always LOST on the court in a triangle system.
These FOUR players gathered the most playing time minute than all the rest of the players on the roster !!!

We are not where we suppose to be .. a second unit lineup of Serafin, Quinn, D.Will, Gallo, and Grant would have kept us a .500 team just on their DEFENSIVE-EFFORT .... We LOSS so many games by not having any POST player on the court during the 4th quarter this season.
It was hard to watch Lopez, Quinn, Serafin on the bench throughout the entire 4th quarter of so many games as if we were gift wrapping a win for our opponent.
Melo KP D.Will and Lance Thomas dont know anything about playing in the POST on offense/defense but they receive BIG minutes in the 4th quarter to lose night after night

You're posts are very entertaining. MELO was having one of his best seasons in terms of being a team player. He's shown he is a good fit for the Triangle.

KP may not be a BUST, but he is far from being a POST player anytime soon as a 7 footer.
ISO-Melo may have shared the ball for the first time in his career but he still has his old habits, and one is his poor performance on offense/defense in the 4th quarter.

Years ago u defended Marbury lack of effort on defense plus Marbury ball-hogging on offense.
And now u are doing the same for ISO-Melo, and the few highlights of KP running inside the paint for a put back dunk or blockshot.

I accept Melo for who and what he is. Complain all you want but in the end he had one of his better seasons from a team game standpoint. Sure he's got to improve but he was also in his 1st year back from a Knee Surgery. I suspect he'll actually be a little better next year than he was this year. I expect him to shoot better for sure. He's not gonna be a shutdown defender 82 games a season. We can cover for him with beter perimeter defenders out there with him rather than AA and Jose!

Speaking of AA and Jose, do we really need to talk about them? We all know they're not part of the solution for this team. Why waste time talking about guys that most likely won't be here or at best will be on the bench next year?
