He really does seem comfortable here...and let's face it, this season for him should have been one where he set himself up for a good contract during FA next year.
If he lost about 20lbs, I might even consider resigning him if we could give him a 3yr O'Quinn type contract, but with the Knicks having a team option on him at some point.
Lopez/KP/Hernangomez/Seraphin/O'Quinn should be enough at the 4/5 position, with Williams being a swing man between 3/4. You also have the Melo at 4 option.
As for AA- he needs to lose 15 lbs, IMO. He has too much extra weight to be consistently effective at the 2. His legs look shot at times. I have appreciated his desire, but he needs to address his age, and that means weight loss and improved fitness training, IMO.
After seeing KOQ for the full year I'm not sure what Phil liked in him, especially if he was aware of OQuin's foot speed and general defensive awareness. I wouldn't mind Seraphin on a KOQ type of deal but only if KOQ is traded. It's just too many bigs if Willy is also signed.
I expect are right about Jackson's probable opinion of him.
O'Quinn has been a major disappointment. Little fire in his game and his D has been poor. Was really rooting for this guy.
Has a vertical leap like I do, and has done nothing to compensate for it in terms of his inside game.
Wonder if he is has any kind of trade value? His performance this year has not helped his trade value, much.
So KOQ played sporadic minutes the entire season, some games 4 mins, 18 minuts, 1 minute, 1 game a wk, 1 game a month, maybe 2..and your blaming him for being inconsistent..."unfckngbelievable"
We knew what to expect when we signed him, and there was no way you can expect for him to improve getting shafted like that (do you remember he had season high in points and rebounds, and was benched the the very next game). Even Rolo who saw little to no real minutes after the first qtr of games in the first 2 months of the season, was starting to look like a disappointment.
I wish you guys would look at the entire picture instead of putting everything on the players
