Carmelo Anthony has been diagnosed with a migraine.

Advice: The migraine started during the first quarter of Saturday's game vs. the Wizards, but he was able to finish the game and had 20 with seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes. Coach Kurt Rambis hinted before Saturday's game that Anthony can choose whether or not he needs to rest on Sunday vs. the Kings, so this would increase the chances of him sitting out. Derrick Williams will benefit if Anthony is held out.

I suffer from migraines- I don't get how anyone could play basketball with one! I'm usually wiped out, like I just woke up from a coma the next day so I'll be very surprised if he plays.

ive played through migraines twice and yes it does suck BUT i can say the adrenaline and competitive nature of the game does help soften it a little.

Exactly. If you have a migraine there is no way in hell you could play basketball. Sometimes people have really bad headaches and assume they are migraines but they aren't. A true migraine incapacitated you. I'd think it's pretty near impossible to play through a full on migraine.

Exactly. If you have a migraine there is no way in hell you could play basketball. Impossible, 100%.

not exactly true. It depends on your threshold for pain it differs for everybody. Like i mentioned previously i did it twice and it was terrible and my play wasnt good but i was able to play

It's not just threshold for pain. A lot of times if you have a migraine you are sensitive to light and heat and stuff like that. If it were me, and I ran and exerted myself with a migraine I'd vomit everywhere. So it's not just pain tolerance but other factors as well. I can barely even open my eyes when I have a headache as everything starts spinning.

I dont blame melo for last night BUT i guess im ready to move on and try to work out a trade. It simply hasnt worked out here with him

If my memory is correct one of the more memorable cases was Scottie Pippen in the ECFs against Detroit. Another memorable case is Terrel Davis in the Super bowl.

Yep. It isn't speculation, assumptions, anonymous sources or mind reading. Some don't always find facts thread worthy and prefer fiction. Martin and Andrew run a great site and are tolerant of most threads no matter how irrational or fact based.

I appreciate you posting this- not really sure what mreinman's problem is, though I suspect it is hard for him to continue to push his 'analytics are everything' agenda when his heroes Morey and Hinkie are falling flat on their faces.

lol

its not for everyone. just smart(er) people.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

A migraine can be absolutely paralyzing. Some people cannot function one bit with them, depending on the severity.

I think the name of the game is to ignore mreinman bc he is adding zilch by either showing his agony that he lets Melo cause... or by purposefully being a troll.

carmelo put on his sneakers today with a smile ... fact - let me go post that

You post some total bs if it fits your agenda. My advice, get a filter and don't just go with what fits how you feel. Look for sources and interviews. Speculation, assumptions, anonymous sources, mind reading etc. is just the ny media looking for clicks on their sites.

actually that was the first almost smart post from you ... kudos ... clap clap

you have no idea what and why I'm posting. its not meant for a simpleton who posts brilliance like melo had a migraine.

Maybe you can count the number of letters in my posts and post the answer in a few days

No I have an idea what you post. For a guy that presents as a stat/data guy you have posted some mind reading, assumption, speculation, anonymous source based articles that have no basis in reality but have a target and appear to be agenda based. Not going to get into throwing insults around just going with facts and actual observations.

If its interesting/entertain it, I post it. If it will annoy some of the dopey's then I would post it. Heck some times I just post it to get you to put on your baton.

I certainly posts agenda base content (for numerous logical reasons).

I try to stay away from creating melo pooped posts. Not a good look and not very interesting or news worthy or anyone who gives a sh1t.

You told us that Tim Frazier is off to a good start with very good numbers. That is interesting and something to follow. Not super illuminating but its a start.

When you post agenda based content that is based on fiction it might be a better look if you didn't defend it adamantly or try to justify what the writer is saying without data or actual sources. Otherwise it appears like you believe the fiction that you are posting. Good luck.

all cute and I guess funny? What kind of content did I post that you are still bitching about?

Yea I'm not in tune with whatever nonsense garbage centered around Carmelo this week or the kind of vitrial and fighting going on here but I scrolled through the threads to find the thread Crush is referring to. Found nothing. I'm gonna assume he's referring to the threads from callmened and Gustav. And with more fans turning on Melo Crush is operating on a short fuse these days and naturally is going to be a tad bit sensitive. Being that he's always one of the first to defend all things Melo

I guess the media is operating on a short fuse as well. Look at the home page or check out the questions being asked at the coache's conference. Posting a link to saying a guy has a migraine is operating on a short fuse? Not sure where that is coming from. I suggest you read back through the comments in this thread including Martin's.

I just sure hope this gets to 40 pages. I mean, if Toney Wroten is pushing 25...Melograine should get 40, easy!

Crush, don't take the little Melohaters too seriously. They're busy trying to figure out why we can't win games without this fat smiling franchise drag.

We can't win with Melo either too, wise guy.

I think this part is news worthy.
Coach Kurt Rambis hinted before Saturday's game that Anthony can choose whether or not he needs to rest on Sunda

I guess it was news/thread worthy to you.

Yep. It isn't speculation, assumptions, anonymous sources or mind reading. Some don't always find facts thread worthy and prefer fiction. Martin and Andrew run a great site and are tolerant of most threads no matter how irrational or fact based.

carmelo put on his sneakers today with a smile ... fact - let me go post that

54 wins say hello with also, Mr. Sir Genius.

Does reading comprehension and coherence enter the conversation? How much of the 17 win season did Mr. Migraine participate in? I forget.

You are one fun guy to talk to.

Carmelo had a migraine?
