I see them supporting Gallo though with that offer sheet. He's played well for them and far too often they don't keep their youth and regret it. Also I doubt a team throws a crazy amount at him
I would keep Dwill, he is one of the few guys on this roster that can score
I'd like to keep DWill, but it won't be because he can score, rather keep guys who are getting better. This is what I keep asking myself, is DWill getting better or is he doing the same things as last year?
I agree. He is one of the guys that I have surprisingly started to buy into his potential and I definitely think that he much better than last year.
What do you like about him?
In the beginning of the season he looked like one of the dumbest players in the league. When he was out there he was so scattered it looked like he did not even know which was the correct basket.
Now he has not turned into a genius but he seems to be getting it a lot faster than I expected him to with the way he started. It used to be that everytime he touched the ball you just knew something bad was going to happen. As the season wore on he started getting much more comfortable and making better and better reads.
Obviously the fact that he can get to the rim at will is what makes him the prospect that everyone went crazy over but the brain part was nowhere near developed.
His FTA% is off the charts.
He is a natural on the break.
His shooting %'s have really tanked in many areas just like many others who have moved over to the triangle. However, his 10-16 footer has really developed which I am sure that Phil loves
... He needs to be a much better shooter but his form looks ok.
I am not sure if I would stay if I was him since his value would be much better realized in a more modern / uptempo system, but I would definitely want to keep him over any of the other short termers.
so here is what phil is thinking ....
