He's not deteriorating at all, but people treat 31 like it's 40 here, and look for excuses to knock him when they can't find one.

How do you treat a 31 year old with a balky knee. You treat them like Amare/Houston Melo headed straight for it.

Knick fans are awful- some of the worst in the entire league- just read a lot of these message boards. The irony is they then blame the GM and players for other players not wanting to come here. If you were a player, would you honestly want to play for the Knicks? Who needs all the media crap and irate 'what have you done for me lately' 'fans'?

This is so true. And I am guilty as charged. But the reality is we need to get assets for Melo before he is a regular DNP player. The writing is on the wall the similarities are there with Houston, Amare and others who never really recovered 100% from knee issues. The numbers don't lie his scoring and shooting percentage are in the awful territory.
