i cant feel sorry who chose to pick the cash or winning. i dont knock him if he chooses to take the money. but i cant sympathize for him if he chooses to be in a losing situation
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

This interview reminds me of that Dane Cook joke about needing to cry but you suck it up to function for so long your just on the verge of tears for days.

That's Melo. I truly think he wants to stay in NY and be a knick, but he has to see the writing on the wall and know if he even wants to be on a good team in the next few seasons he needs to go. The knicks are in desperate need to rebuild and him being here or not they are going to continue to lose for the foreseeable future.

The algorithm gives and the algorithm takes away

Melo doesn't look defeated, yet.

He does look like a guy that came into the season giving this team a clean slate, bought into the plan of the coach and at one point was fooled into thinking things were going to be different because of Porzingis, the supporting crew and the decent record.

Then all came crashing down. Quickly and unexpectedly. Everything unraveled: Fisher fired, no trade moves, losing continues and things start to shockingly look exactly like last season traumatic year.

Its not easy.

No matter how much you make, if you have a goal and it seems you are stuck far away from it, its just deflating.

great, mature and honest interview. I like this melo ... very strange how phil is staying away from him and the team. Almost as if he is forcing melo to beg for a trade (or wave his NTC).

This is a bloody mess and I am sure that it is obvious to everyone (besides nix )

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Why do people think Phil is the day to day guy? Melo said he hasn't spoken to Phil since the trade deadline but has spoken to Mills, the day to day guy, since then.

This is a question board wide. Also, what is Phil going to tell him anyway about the direction that is not already known right now? I guess a smart Phil would say this season is done we need you to rest and save your knees for the future.

He's got to go. His cycle here is over. He was selfish and hurt the team on the inti trade and it's been a slow decline. Sports and divorce are common after the season lets go back and find 2-3 nice draft picks and let the guy go. He's going to get booed at MSG soon enough

That would be glorious. I'd DVR it and never erase it. Ever.

I agree. I am always glad when the interview is posted so that I can see/hear it rather than read an interpretation of it.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
