How do I tweet Rambis? he should add Gallo to this list. Guy has stones, and will most likely be left open
I'm pretty sure he'd not have a problem with Gallo if the others can't get a shot, but I think Rambis main point is that he's going to actually call plays or rather ACTIONS that will lead to his best scorers getting great shots. It's not some rule that you can't run actions for your best players in the Triangle. That was a Fish thing. I saw no sense to the fact that KP seemed to never be involved late in games. The few times he was it was pretty good.
It's really not hard to have Melo, KP and AA as the main targets given that you can just put them in actions that lead to them getting the ball and screens set for them to get open. There are plenty of actions that I think could've been used so i'm sure Rambis has even more ideas of how he can make sure to get his best players the ball to close out games.
i agree. all good points. it used to infuriate me when when the knicks didn't seize on certain opportunities by actually calling a play (or action). E.g., if you put a smurf on KP (e.g., Smart) you stop the triangle, clear out and let KP operate on that with post or lob.
