Jimmer is a pg, a scoring pg ... He needs the ball to be seccussful, his style of play is like curry just not as talented... if this team brings jimmer up as a back up 2 it would be pointless . He needs to play the same role as he plays in westchester .... Jimmer and trice both bring the ball up, they take turns when in the game together. But there is plenty of times jimmer is the primary pg in westchester.

We did when we moved Felton for Jose.... And some part of me feels that if we get Jennings we will be asking the same question in about 2 years.......

Jennings is no longer an option:))

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Big guards with skills are the best fit IMO. We all saw how Shved took to this like a fish in water, cuz he was pretty much the prototypical Triangle Guard. Shved was a better fit for that Kobe, MJ role than AA is. AA isn't as quick to the basket nor the passer that you want in that role.

Jimmer IMO is kind of like a younger more offensive minded Jose. I think he could function well enough on offense but of course he'd be weak on D. He would be an upgrade over what we get from Jerian at this point.

Two guys that fit that description: 6'6" Spencer Dinwiddie and 6'4" E'twaun Moore. Dinwiddie would take a trade but unlike other more high profile players, I think we have the pieces to get him and Moore is an UFA this summer who shouldn't be too expensive at all. Moore could be a lot of bang for buck. Two multi-faceted guards I hope Phil is keeping an eye on.

Is Dinwiddie a free agent this summer? I thought I read that all of Detroits point guards other than Reggie were.

Not a FA until 2017. He's set to make over 980k next yr guaranteed. Interesting because he was in the same draft as Cleanthony Early and Early's a FA for us after this season. Smart move by DET giving this kid an extra yr... Was just reading before that he suffered some kind of ankle injury just before the DL all-star break -- he's been recalled by the Pistons to rehab and be around the team at practices. Once he's 100%, then it's back to the DL. If you read the article, you really get the feeling they still don't know what to do with this kid http://www.detroitbadboys.com/2016/2/10/10957862/spencer-dinwiddie-recalled-from-drive-ankle-injury. Definitely could've used him in their last game before the break--Reggie Jackson and KCP were both out of the lineup--he could've filled in at either position...The Pistons are right there in the playoff picture -- you wonder if they could use a guy like Seraphin for some post offense next to Drummond (Baynes is really a banger, Tolliver is more of a perimeter 4 and Joel Anthony doesn't play) or maybe they could use Afflalo -- they look to be a little thin at the 2 behind Pope. Something like Afflalo or Afflalo/Seraphin for Dinwiddie/Reggie Bullock/2nd rounder might work..
