Maybe it's just me being grumpy due to the knicks sucking during that time frame, but I still find it odd that business is booming so much.

Man, screw that. Conley isn't worth it and will be declining soon.

what are you other options ?

no move is better than a bad one. I wouldn't max out a guy who should be the 3rd or 4th option. He's a really good player at his current price. $20mm a year plus? Not so much.

I would keep working the farm system. Keep pumping up KP. The 2017 FA class is worth saving for. I mean I have no problem with the goal being to surround Melo/KP with enough role players to make the playoffs next year and that's it. If the Knicks are smart they could add two max level FAs to go with Melo/KP after next year. Obviously Melo's game will be in decline, but he becomes the 3rd option if you add Westbrook and another beast.

What the hell do know? Maybe Conley pops and is a better mature player than an younger one. Who knows.

I like Conley, but the possibility that for even a moment, he could be the highest paid player in the NBA, or even be in a top 10 list, for that matter, is simply beyond belief.

Cap can also go down and its projected.
ESPN is hurting. They might not be able to drive the next TV deal up. Market might be saturating.
Can TNT keep it up?
If cable goes into deregulation some channels like ESPN will get hurt.

quite frankly, Im getting burnt out on watching hoop. College post season conf. championships and March Madness just weeks away.

NBA summer league can't come fast enough!!! July Free agent season is awesome!!!!!

The TV deal is locked in for the next seven years. It might mean bad things for the NEXT TV deals, but the NBA is going to be rolling in the dough for the next seven years.
