He said he'll be looking into making moves and would like to. Doesn't mean he'll be able to. Said clearly Knick trade assets are not that good. The only 2 quality Knick trade assets are Melo and KP and neither is going anywhere.

[At least] Two possibilities exist. Either Jackson rolls the dice on a player or two who have tarnished reputations or he is forced to part with an improbable trade chip - say, Gallo, Grant, or Lance Thomas. It may make more sense to think about what Knicks other teams want and work the trade scenarios backwards.

I'm guessing that released players may also factor into roster corrections.

It will definitely be unorthodox. That's what's he's been doing. He did mention that in the press conference too. It's on like Donkey Kong

Someone mentioned Murry. I liked him. He was able to make plays and played D. He has the size Phil likes and can play in the open court. Not sure how he fits in the triangle but he's more NBA ready than Grant and much faster than Calderon

We need a PG and and chance to move Seraphin and Jose. We need a little more length at the 5 position. Preferably another agile stretch 4/5 who can rebound and defend

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I may be the only one but I would prefered if Phil did not make any move except maybe a free agent. We are not in a good position to trade. We will get abused.
Let's for once emphasize on continuity and chemistry. Until January, we were balling. That means, the current roster is capable of doing it. Being .500 in an improved east conference is a good accomplishment.
We tried multiple times to trade for a quick fix. It was a failure every single time.

Thanasis was not resigned to a second ten day. Knicks have an open spot. Fredette, Murry, Wroten or Bogans are the guys I think the Knicks might look at. Maybe keeping that spot open though allows them to grab someone around the trade deadline.

Bogans? A 35 year old veteran journeyman who has been out the league and is playing in the D leage? I'll respectfully pass.

Lol, they could sign Derek Fisher to run the point. Couldn't be much worse.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Dunno if anyone has seen a Knicks game this year but it all comes down to Melo being healthy and Aflalo playing well as secondary scorer. Melo is clearly not healthy and they continue to play him big minutes. Aflalo has been anything but consistent and does not help in other ways when shot is off. Would like to see Melo shut down for a bit to get him right. And perhaps Aflalo traded for a more consistent secondary scorer. The question is who would fill that role at that price point?

I am afraid Lance will be dealt. He is talked about a lot around the league; thus, he is the one guy that teams may consider trading for. If I were Phil, the only way I deal Lance is if a team is willing to take Calderon as well

plenty of moves that can be made.

AA has value as a nice stop gap wing scorer. (Det?)
DWill's value is self explanatory... especially to an uptempo team
Lance has value as a versatile defensive player

I think all 3 could be traded, especially if they arent in the Knicks long term plans. All will be looking for bigger payouts

Jose, Langston and Seraphin are also parts that might help another team if the situation is right.

KOQ and Rolo I suspect are staying as its a poor message to FA potentials to trade guys in the first year of a 4 year deal, so I suspect they will not be offered in trades.
