I don't think we've had enough time with Phil to know what kind of President he'll be when it comes to things like this.

It's all part of Fisher's process. Which was centered around making bank.

I just hope for his sake he stays as far from Matt Barnes and that women as possible

Wonder if this was driven by Dolan.

I do to and i would like to see him do what Starks has been saying he should of done in the first place and get a job as a assistant but don't know if he will.

Official Knicks statement

New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that Derek Fisher has been relieved of his coaching duties. Associate Head Coach Kurt Rambis has been named the interim head coach.

Fisher, who was originally hired on Jun. 10, 2014, finishes his Knicks coaching career with an overall record of 40-96 (.294).

Rambis becomes the 27th head coach in franchise history. Originally hired as the team’s associate head coach on Jul. 7, 2014, the 18-year NBA coaching veteran starts his second-stint as a head coach, after leading the Minnesota Timberwolves for two seasons from 2009-10 through 2010-11 (56-145). The Terre Haute, IN native was a member of eight NBA Championship teams, all as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers (four as a player and four as a coach or executive). Rambis becomes the fifth former Knicks draft pick to coach the team (third round, 58th overall in the 1980 NBA Draft).

Sometimes it did look like he was intentionally sabotaging his success. Dont know why Fisher went away from things that were working, and working well. Only he knows that.

Phil is woke.

Interesting take on it.

You expect that he's had many talks with Fisher, but as we learned during the pre-draft period, Jackson is good at keeping things under the radar and out of the press.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Im wondering if Derek was just not into the gig and working hard enough to learn the craft? Certainly had the cred coming in and a world of respect.
Its a seduction to get paid what he did and take on the NYC thing but the reality is its a tough ass job!!!!!!

Maybe Knicks1969 gets his wish and Luke gets the gig next year. Dolan can't be happy with Phil right now. I mean how much money can a dude spend on coach's!!!!

I TOLD YOU MUTHERPHUCKAS FISHER LOST THE TEAM!

It was clear as day after he said "Process not Playoffs" and I'm pretty sure the Pistons 1st half cemented this. That was a game that showed a mutiny and a lack of respect for Derek. Showed with the effort.

Phil was certainly watching to see any bounce back from the Detroit debacle, but no such luck with the next few games...

Always falling behind, and showing utter lack of prep.

Good fire, Phil!!! Now if you can learn how to hire a real coach for once...

This would be a good time for Jackson to be seen and heard more often. Phil said he would this season, he didn't, and here we are.....
