No. PG for triangle should be decent but nothing special.
Why waste big assets on noon-essential need?
We will be able to fill this hole over time and we are in no rush.
This team is min 2 years from being any good.

With this recent slide, I believe the Knicks are going to make a move for a ONE before the deadline...and if this is the move they go for (instead of Jennings), then P.Jackson will have to include a draft pick in whatever package he offers.

So the question is...Would you be ok with this?

College players are a crap shoot and I would definitely include one in a trade for a proven NBA player like J.Teague. Would hate to have a repeat situation like the one with K.Lowry.

Even though he's only signed for one more year after this year?? It would be tough to give up a 1st round pick for a player that we'd only have for the rest of this season and next season.

The Knicks would have Teague for almost two years. Enough time to get acclimated to NYC and the Knicks organization. If he doesn't like it here...we have a young, good PG on a expiring contract.

I'm sure that could fetch some decent players (maybe a draft pick) to a contending team.

TEague is a good player. Not sure he is big enough for Phil's taste in a triangle type PG.

It is a major hole in his game but I think that it can be taught. Remember, he went from the 76ers who have no idea how to develop young players and just want to trade them for draft picks to the Bucks, another team not known recently for developing young talent. Line up MCW with Allan for a bit.

Players for picks I agree with Briggs.

The only time I think you go for it is when you think it can take you over the top. Your contending and you need one more piece to solidify to that kind of status.

Barganani, Eddy, Marbury, etc all had no. 1 picks attached. Melo has proven to have been good value for value trade. Might not translate to wins but he has played at a high enough level given who he was before. Old argument.

In fact, time to trade Melo.............
