If you call this bones made of paper I guess that is exactly what the Knicks need.

doesn't work in the nba...look at rubio. star in europe...terrible in the nba.
he can't bang with the nba caliber athletes day in and day out...again like rubio.

our mr latvia is an anomaly...not the rule.

He played for the Knicks last season and I wanted him on the Knicks from what I seen him do the in NBA. He should have never even gone to Europe. You are right that you can't look at stats on a 1 to 1 ratio from Europe to the NBA. I look what what they are capable of doing instead of stats. I know Jimmer is not going to average 23pt 5reb 5ast in the NBA. I just notice that he has a skill set that could help us coming off the bench. No one can score off our bench except DWill. If he has a bad game then you get bench play like last night. Every shot was a terrible mid range shot that had to be forced because no one noticed the shot clock was low.

I think our PG problem is a lot bigger than people realize. We usually get no easy shots. How many times is KP missed on an Ally Opp,PNR or backdoor cutd? The only people who helps create baskets for KP is the new and improved Melo and Jose on Drag screens. KP should be mostly used as a finisher and not a facilitator.

rubio is far from terrible. I wish we had rubio right now.

rubio struggled the first few years with multiple injuries

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

exactly. that's why phil needs to make a smart trade...not any trade.

I didn't love Larkin, but Shved had something working in this system.

Grant has been a disappointment, too, unfortunately. I do think it's just confidence, but man...

You can thank Fisher for signing Seraphin over Shved.

Derek Fisher and general manager Steve Mills convinced Knicks president Phil Jackson that Seraphin was a better fit as a backup center than adding combo guard Alexey Shved, who was eager to accept the Knicks’ $2.8 million exception.

Very interesting. And he I am giving Phil heat and absolving Fisher in the other thread for these moves. Either way Phil makes the final decisions. I'm not comfortable with Phil allowing a first time coach at any level dictate player acquisitions to Phil and his 11 rings. Seems Fisher wanted a more prototypical PG when Phil had already found one who fit the system. He couldn't shoot consistently but had his share of games where he did score and helped us win. He did all the other little things you need out of your guards in he triangle.

I would gladly take Lin, Rubio or Svhed on this team right now. All 3 are not necessarily great shooters but can do all the little things you need at PG to win in this system. They have the IQ & basketball instincts you need out of your guards. Other than Galloway and he is behind those guys in terms of being able to run the team as the PG floor leader. None of our other guards come close.

They just don't have the depth of talent necessary, and I wouldn't expect them to this year. You can't have Melo shoot 4-16, 1-5 from 3 without others stepping up and expect to beat a playoff caliber team like Boston.

they cant win at all if any of the starters is out..they cant win consistently overall
