Don't know if he is getting back in the league...but he IS a baller. I think he does get it poked out from behind by taller players at times from watching the last game.

That is a nice move and finish. A lot of pro players can't do that.

I dont know any pro guard that can't do that move. I don't know any guard for that matter that I play with. Im not knocking him at all.....but I refuse to overhype him.

Jimmer has talent. He clearly needs a system but he also needs some freedom. Hey, stranger things have happened (ala Lin).
I do hope we get to see him play some here. Maybe the timing, the City of NY, the Triange or something, some combination will make things click.

The guy can shoot, he can clearly create his own show and he just needs to have a good enough build and some quickness to play defense. That is really my worry.
And that said, he could be an upgrade over Jose, who is a great shooter but just doesn't shoot enough Don't get that as if he isn't scoring, in the triangle he isn't doing much else.

Upper body strength is impressive. He creates space with his dirk like one leg push off move.
Its an unglier version of what clyde used to do. Very ugly. Relax, not saying he is clyde.

Love me some youtube highlights! Dude don't miss!

I've seen a lot of games over the years and don't see that well executed a split and still under control shooting a layup. That was a very well done move.

It doesn't mean he has great handles because he doesn't. But it shows a split second decision making ability.

the Euro comment was spot on IMO. He could be a star there and make a million bucks a year playing basketball. He's got a looooooong way to go before people look at Jimmer and think Jason Terry. Terry was a very good player for a very long time.

I think there are parallels between Fredette and Lin.

If you want the full Jimmer experience, you got to put the ball in his hands... a LOT.

Yeah, I know people say he only has one NBA skill - but his ball handling skills have seemed pretty good to me in any d-league footage I've seen this year.

But it's the d-league which is all the players that aren't talented enough to play in the NBA. You can't go on anything a player does in the d-league and think he can do the same things against NBA level talent. I'm one that would like to see him get a chance with us but it's gonna be so hard for him to make it on any NBA team that's actually trying to win every game cause unless he completely goes off in the little floor time he would see on a team that's trying to win every game then he just won't get the time he needs to get himself adjusted.

Right, NBA player's are taller and have longer wingspans. They are quicker in every direction. They're also smarter and more experienced.

Make everyone in the nba 1/4 smaller, 1/4 slower and 1/4 dumber, and LOTS of guys would look like superstars.

Jeremy Lin
Marcin Gortat
Brandon Bass
Patrick Patterson
J.J. Barea
Matt Barnes
Danny Green
Ramon Sessions

There have been a lot of good NBA players coming from the D League. Of course it's a lesser league, but it has proven to help some players get their games going. It could be the same for Jimmer. Who knows, but it could be worth a look. I trust Phil and his staff to make the call on this.
