Well, the D-League is certainly not the NBA . . . but on the other hand, the opposing players are trying to make a living, too.

** 11 rebounds for a 6'2" PG (?)
** 9 to 2 assists to turnovers ratio (?)
** and 2 steals (?)

This dude is putting up some really nice numbers. If he can humble himself and put forth effort at both ends of the court, he might get a shot again. Knicks are desperate

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Holy crap. Like part of a job description for what we need at PG.

So it has to be asked . . . "Why hasn't he been a wiinner in the NBA (?)"

Let's hope the answer is: "Hasn't had a Triangle team to play for so far . . .".

ESPN article:

Fredette . . . was most recently with the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich praised Fredette's work ethic but said his release was a numbers issue.

"No room at the inn really, but he did a good job," Popovich said. "Everybody knows he's such great kid, good competitor. Just hope he finds a place."

county center is a decent set up. about 36 bucks for a balcony seat. you are really up close. i was thinking it should be cheaper though, about half that. the lines to eat are ridiculous.

on Jimmer, i was thinking he would be a prima donna, but he didnt play selfishly at all. he didnt act better than or anything like that. he wasnt selfish either, looked to dish and had some nice drives and hitting the open man.

i didnt bother to focus on he defense much, partly bc i didnt know he was supposed to be bad on d and i had my 2 year old with me so you can only focus on so much. generally though, he seemed to stay with his man, and i saw him matched up on some taller guys too.

jimmer is pretty strong, wide build, you could see muscle definition in his arms.

he should be in the nba. i just wonder if he simply cant be a role player for his style of play. but then again, why should he be a role player. he can do most anything on offense. feature this kid.

Whoa. I live about 20 minutes from Newark and had in mind to see the Knicks on the 19th.

But yea, I was thinking it would be about $20. I'll have to check now . . .

That's the idea: start them in the Triangle early. It takes a while to learn (as we all know by now . . .)

Well soon enough we'll likely get a chance to see Jimmer on the Knicks. At least that seems the most likely scenario. No one else we can pick up will have the needed familiarity with the Triangle. Tho I do expect that there's gonna be another addition too. Just not sure if they will also be coming from the W Knicks. We'll see.

I said in another thread recently that he has been playing extremely well. He drives to the hoop a lot more than I previously thought. He might not have the athletic drives to the hoop of a Wroten but he gets there because teams are extremely afraid of leaving him open for 3. Every game I have seen outside of his 1st one he seems to be a very willing passer. The last time I checked he was shooting 45% from 3 and it seems like his specialty is that transition 3 that Melo loves so much. The only difference is it seemed to me like Jimmer hit it at a much higher percentage.

I'll be disappointed now if we don't get a chance to see what Fredette can do.

If Jackson/Fisher make the move, it'll be very interesting to see how they do it.

Does Fredette move right into the rotation as second PG (?)

Seems counter-productive to bring him up if you're not going to give him continuity from his D-League play.

Grant would have to take the hit for that, but it's his own fault . . .

Like others have said Grant would do well down there for a few games. Just to get a flow again.

Numbers are important in the d-league, but LG's numbers weren't as gaudy as others and he got the call. They need to see NBA ready skills. This is why it is hard to pull the trigger.
