Can't say he isn't a winning player, he got a team to the finals and aside from the laker debacle had his team in the playoffs every season. He is averaging 12.6pts and 11.6 rbs and 1.8 blocks and only gets 8 shots a game. He would be pretty special next to KP and would give us one of the best frontcourts in the game. I would be open to the move if they take Lopez.

Lopez and Aflalo salary matches up. While Dwight short term is an upgrade, we lose too much a lot and that's a lot of scratch to pay one guy with a bad back. How good are we with our bench? Does Rockets even want that? Give them Jose? Two things, we don't have a better guard on the team, Jimmer is not prime time and if you bring in Dwight you are raising the expectation bar, otherwise why do it?

If you can't be top 4 in conference, its not worth the short term. In fact, one might say we should cash in Melo for picks/yoot/potential.

He doesn't even play in back to back games anymore. No thank you.

Now that is crazy. A lineup of Howard, KP, and Carmelo would rule the East. It is worth looking into; specifically if it would rid us of Calderon and RoLo. KP as a stretch 4 with Howard in the low block? That would be interesting. The dude is a much better passer then he is given credit. Didn't he March his team to the NBA finals? Hell yeah I would trade the aforementioned for that dude

That was seven years ago when he went to the Finals. And he was a totally different player back then. Have you seen him play lately? Not the same player at all. Not remotely.
