Cuban said he loved the Knicks draft. He said the Mavs would have taken point guard Jerian Grant at No. 21 if he fell. He also praised the Knicks second-round pick center Willy Hernangomez of the Spanish League who is expected to join the Knicks next season. …

Don't think Cuban ever had the assets to trade up for KP, but...

...What if KP had a couple of years playing with Dirk helping his game as only he could.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

1) Gallo can't break anyone down off the dribble. Even a poor defender like Felton, who we all know has bad lateral quickness, stays in front of Gallo.
2) After a transition play for the Knicks, where there are mismatches all over the place and Melo has Felton pinned down in the FT area, Gallo can't get him the ball or doesn't see the play and hoists a contested, deep 2-pointer. And miss. And you could see Melo's frustration, all Gallo had to do was pass the ball and Melo gets basket or is fouled. Easy.

Gallo's D has regressed some and so has his shot.

I think we asked him to do too much. He's a likable player with a likable skill set, but asking him to be the lead guard off the bench is a big role. Maybe he breaks out of the shooting slump but I agree... he's been scouted and figured out some

I'm not even asking him to be a lead guard, just recognize the situation. It's just unfathomable to not pass in that situation.

And the Knicks had this situation many times over. With Jose not passing to KP in the post when he had a much smaller guy on him and Melo going to rim and attracting a big crowd with KP sitting wide open at the 3 point line (and this was just after he made 1 or 2). All in the 4th.

That's just player recognition. We saw this with Gallo in the SL, not sure why he doesn't see these plays.

You nailed it. Seems after the great start catching teams off guard, they adjusted by simply not leaving him open knowing he won't break down the defense. We have to figure out a way to get the bench going again. The 2nd unit needs to get back to pushing the tempo for easy buckets. Grant needs a bigger role otherwise we have to trade Galloway who might have some value based on his age alone. I really think we trade Him for speed or a legitimate #3 or 4 scorer off the bench. Galloway/Calderon is redundant

100% agree with both of you on this.

Both of these guys have good a work ethic, and I'm sure there hoisting up 100 3's some where while i'm typing this. One thing is for certain, we are not playing the same style that they were actually having success in, and they are not getting the same minutes. So im sure thats contributing to their poor play

Galloway plays great defense and is young. Calderon is neither.
