And probably a new coach, because fisher has found away to make grant look like a undrafted rookie. This is after he looked great in sl and preseason.

Jerian started playing poorly and THEN Fish started limiting his minutes and playing Sasha. If Jerian had been ballin out there's no way Fish isn't playing him. Besides this is very much a teaching and development project for Fish and his staff. When you have a lot of young players it has to be.

Jerian and our other younger players are still in need of development and there will be ups and downs like this. We aren't the only team with young players who struggle with consistency.

I wonder how fisher would have treated CP3 in his first season! As imperfect is Fisher; I just don't understand why he refuses to allow younger players to play and learn from their mistakes.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

he won't get any love from fans who don't know anything about the game of basketball. jose is who he is and is exactly what we need at PG right now.

I believe this has been posted before but I think the Knicks bring Trice up in January. From draftnet:
Travis Trice, Michigan State

This one’s a deep sleeper, and there’s a lot of flaws for critics to point out, but Travis Trice can really play. In the tournament, he absolutely balled out, carrying his team through their dry spells, all the way to the Final Four. The Spartans were one of the lower-seeded teams in the past decade to make the Final Four, and a huge part of that is owed to Travis Trice. He is listed at a Lilliputian 6’0” and 170 lbs., so right away, he sounds like a guy that could really get bullied at the next level. But Trice is such a crafty scorer and distributor that every time he stepped on the floor, the dynamic of his team’s offense changed dramatically. He can create off the dribble, he’s a great shooter, he’s a solid distributor, and all the best intangibles are there, whether it’s his basketball IQ or his leadership or his will to win. He certainly looked like the most confident player in the tournament during MSU’s Final Four run, but despite all his confidence, he doesn’t generally try to do too much. Maybe the second round is a perfect range for his skillset, but he could very well be one of the most productive and long-lasting players picked in the second round. The 6-foot listing is likely selling Trice short in a literal sense. When matching up to other prospective NBA point guards, he can certainly hold his own from a physical standpoint. But after not even receiving a combine invitation, Trice is facing an uphill battle, but for a team that wants a proven winner late in the draft, rather than European draft-and-stash player who could very well never see meaningful NBA minutes, Trice could be a great pickup. Isaiah Thomas wrote the blueprint on how to earn a place in the NBA as an undersized point guard picked late in the draft; best-case scenario for Trice: he follows a similar path and battles his way into a steady backup point guard role.

I'm sorry did you say Jerian lost minutes to Sasha? Lol. Now, that's smart coaching. I get it, "Hey JG, you haven't been playing come sit by me while I play my friend who has been absolute garbage. Around here you have to earn your time young fella"

I wonder where Phil Jackson is! Because this B.S. Has been going on for way too long. We have a very good group of guys this season; fisher is risking destroying the current players' esprit de Corps by the favoritism he is showing to Sasha and others

when you say if jerian would have been ballin, like avg 20 points?

with him dwill and early, they were balling, blowing out teams. Then their minutes went down for no reason other than to give somebody else minutes.

Look Nix, you know and I know, everybody on this board knows, and every casual basketball fan knows that, you're not going to find chemistry or rhythm playing 8 guys (the bench) in approximately 17 minutes. Damn near all the starters are avg 30+ minutes(no wonder the chemistry is great)

DUDE HE PLAYS HIS ENTIRE ROSTER BY THE END OF THE 1ST QUARTER, DOES THAT MAKE ANY LOGICAL SENSE? Why the fck do you think we avg 30 points in the 1st half of the last 2 or 3 games

Whats worse is that he takes all of his scorers out at the same time and leaves the most un balance roster in the league, and wonders why 5 guys (who look like they never played a day with each other)can't get any easy basket and end up with long iso 2's rimming the fck out.

Holding teams to under 40% shooting should be a win any day of the wk, but fisher wants to prove he can reinvent the fckng wheel and proceed to throw out some unconventional never-seen-before rotation.

Jerian needs to be the backup PG. Period. There is nobody better and this is how he'll get better.

It sounds like Jarell Eddie has been playing really well in the d league. He has always been able to hit the three at a high percentage. He is supposed to be defending at a much higher level.

We should sign him then. We have a good base of veterans and can afford to add a few more young talented guys and hope that they become something.

Remember Whiteside, Galliway and Tyler Johnson came up this way. I'll take Eddie, Greene, Murry, Perry Jones. I know there's a few more out there. Youth, energy, athleticism and shooting ability are what this organization needs. If we could package a LT, Seraphin and waive Sasha we could have room for enough of these guys. Early fits right in and needs to play some too.

It really doesn't matter who we have on the roster of the coach can't find the discipline to play just 10 to 11 guys. It makes no sense the way Fisher is utilizing our current roster. We really don't know what we have, because we have 5 guys who are not given the minutes necessary to showcase their true talents.

Giving the minutes fisher has given Grant, can you honestly say that he can't produce?

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I think Grant can produce. And will. Gallo too. KP obviously. Early maybe. They are our hope and our future. Let's find 2 or 3 more like them this year.

I don't think we have enough assets to draft quality players in the up and coming draft. Last I checked, I don't think we have a draft pick next year; we are to look for a trade that can get us a couple of first rounders.

I want Westbrook in NY.....that dude is built for this city

We won't get him because of our system. Conley fits better. KD too.

Wouldn't mind Conley at all:). It is fools goal to think KD will come to NY.

im a fan of Luke Ridnour. hes out there somewhere
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
