So far, mreinman is the only one who answered this questions, but:
What do you guys think about Monday's game vs the Spurs? Think we got a chance? Remember, it will be the 2nd of a back to back for the Spurs. I think they might be vulnerable, and the Knicks I'm sure are aware that they're going to want revenge for that embarrassing loss to our 17 win roster last year. If Melo, Gallo and yes Thomas have the kind of night they had vs the Wiz, what do you think?

Every minute our young players are getting this early is a plus for later in the year. I don't really mind the mistakes that much right now cuz it's a learning experience plus they all still play HARD, which is keeping the team competitive. This is a process and we have to let it develop naturally.

Agree about the young players. The Knicks have 7 players 25 or younger. Galloway, Grant and Kristaps are all getting 24-25 minutes a game.

I think they have a great chance against the Spurs. This Knicks team has a lot of guys that can pick the team up. Last night it was Galloway and Thomas but O'Quinn and Williams have been fantastic at times as well. It should be a very good game.

I think the Knicks have a shot to win. I look forward to see the bench mob against the spurs 2s. Oaq versus West will be a interesting match up. I also want to see how well Kris defends Aldridge.

Without a doubt this team has a thriving youth movement going on! People aren't really focused on it because of the vets who start but it's really the kids who are carrying a big load. They should continue to get stronger and take on a bigger role. Their growth is a huge factor. It's what makes this team so compelling to watch vs previous years.

Also on a side note, I didn't realize Jimmer was only 26. Feels like he's been around forever! It will be interesting to see how he does and if they sign him to the big team.

I just read an article on Jimmer from 10/15. The article made it sound like one of his problems is he doesn't respond to coaching.

No reason to think that we can't win, and as you say, they are going second game of a B to B, and it might affect some of their older players.

Will be another good test for the Knicks.

Interesting matchup for KP going up against Aldridge...as is Calderon and Parker. If Jose can't give a decent showing the cries for his benching will be deafening.

I don't think SA really thinks about that game last year, since we have an entirely different cast of characters and team that can't be overlooked or dismissed like the one we had last year.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I don't think Gallo has to be starting cause him and Grant play well when they come in together and as long as he's on the court to finish games like he was last night then we'll be fine with him not starting. I'm not saying i wouldn't be fine with him starting at the 2 spot until AA is healthy cause i would be but i think he'll still get plenty of minutes either way. How about we show some love to L.Thomas who most on here crapped all over Phil for bringing him back but the kid plays hard every second he's on that floor and he brings a positive energy in the locker room.

Yeah I thought some have been pretty hard on LT. He always plays hard even when his shot wasn't falling. He's smarter than he's given credit for and it helps to have glue guys like him in the mix. He's not always pretty but he can be effective. He's one of those lunch pail Phil types.

so who on this team don't you like? You really can't think that they will all succeed.

not trying to bust your chops ... really want to know. And please don't say Jose ... too easy.

The group that finished the game against the Wiz played the best all around game defensively and offensively..The offensive structure was the best of any group I have seen play together so far..

I'm just not convinced that LT will play consistently at that level..

I have never seen a player get credit for stuff he is supposed to do like RoLo..A pivot player set picks and pass the ball when a defender trails off his pick..But he makes Melo deadlier..Wow..

Big men that play the pivot..Guys like Amare didn't come up playing the pivot so they never learned the nuances of playing the pivot..Amare and Chandler are pick and roll bigs who set up at the top of the key..Guy like Shaq, Kareem, Al Jefferson have these skills and use them as an after thought..

I have to give this WIN over the Washington Bullets/Wizards to a hustling Knicks-Team!
The Knicks did well against a playoff Wizard team with strong depth.
I give O'Quinn big props for showing Lopez n KP how to dominate Gortat, Nene, Humphrie, and Gooden.
Rookie Grant did well his first time going against the East best tandem guards Wall & Beal.
Galloway performance was much more than a second season player, Gallo was our FINISHER!
Sasha hustling n trappin defense was a big help for young guards Grant/Gallo to prevent Wall, Beal, and Porter from having one of their 30 pt nights.
Lance Thomas and Afflalo are still subject, more Afflalo than Thomas.
Calderon performed ok.
Melo got a $124M contract he suppose to perform like that every other game.
This was Melo best stat as a Knick

The Spurs experience n depth is to long for the Knicks to match ...

The knicks won because Melo went crazy.
