NOBODY is regretting drafting porzingis. He has a bright future in new york. However its ok to compliment Towns....he is a beast. I wanted towns all year but im happy with KP

Didn't you want OK4 and Russell before Towns?

no. I wanted towns or russell. I seem to remember both you and i agreeing About towns being the top pick

exactly. Unfortunetly certain fans interpret that as being negative

You used the word regretting above. Nobody is saying anything about that. My thing is our guy is Kristaps and the kid can play and he fits with what we want to do. Towns is a Timberwolve... I'll admire him on draft kings. Knicks all day.

the point is that its ok to compliment a player from another team

Has an all around game...can score inside or out, play some D, and he is physically ahead of most of this year's rookie crew.

Also intelligent and pretty down to earth as a person. No BS on the court, either. Pretty much like KP,actually.

Saw him out perform Monroe in his final pre-season game, and posted about it. Kid is just a solid all around player.

Glad they put him at the 5. I remember that some around here thought he should be a PF- that would have been a mistake, IMO.

Have watched 2 games just to see him play and evaluate him, and have not been disappointed so far.

Not unhappy with what we got, though. Kristaps was probably the most immature player in terms of physical maturity coming out of this draft, yet you already see him holding his own and looking amazingly fluid for a man his size.

Only going to get better.

Yup. Ridiculous stuff from the so called experts

actually i had towns as my number 1 but i figured somehow we would lose out on the top pick so russell would bem the next one

Towns is a much stronger guy but he has a better 3 pt shot than kp and only shot 12 feet and in from the several views I watched. It's pretty simple too Karl towns can dominate the nba inside no one will stop it

Did I miss something? KP shot 36% from three in Europe last year. Towns shot 25 % in college. How can you say towns is a better 3 point shooter?

yeah ... a little stupid

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Towns is averaging 21 pts, 13 rbs, 2 blocks! I'm happy to have Porzingis but man do I wish we had Towns.

We knew that was a slim chance of landing Towns and after the darned lottery it killed all hope of getting Towns. You could tell he had the most well rounded game and most suited to the NBA. For now Towns is well ahead of KP in his development but it will be interesting to see what KP becomes as he fills out and further develops his skills. I see a huge amount of upside with KP. After the disappointment of the lottery we made out GREAT IMO landing KP 😎

nobody wanted KP over towns.

I will take KP over the rest of them though.

Some genius picked Ok4 to be the next Tim Duncan ... not so much

glad we have KP.

Towns is another one I was 100% right about since December but people kept telling me he was doing what he did against an inferior conference. When will they learn to stop arguing with me?

yes definitely increased my level of respect for you and your evaluation of talent that goes beyond what these college expects and so called draft guru's believe.

Those who think they know everything because they watched the player in college when in reality there are so many other factors needed in evaluating how their game will translate in the NBA. That is why you still heard the talking heads tooting OK4's horn as the best player and rookie of the year on draft night.
