The Cav's management "won" as Thompson and his agent took less money than what they were looking for. If the dough is rolling in why make as big of a deal over a few million dollars a year and the resulting tax penalty?

U can't look at these things through such a narrow lens...Along with franchise value, there is playoff money at the gates, TV money for deep run in the playoffs, more eyes on your product means higher fees for commercials..Higher prices for seats and more sell outs...Higher prices and more revenue at the concession stands..More jersey sales which all teams take a cut I think...More interviews..I think NBA TV televised every Cavs preseason game...More clicks on your website, more ad revenue..Bro, it's cha ching all around...If all Bron wants is the steering wheel then Gilbert got off cheap...

When you have asset which gives you 400 mils more of collateral you can get so much chip money our days it is even hard to imagine...
