If opponents have a starter stretch 4 or small lineup I would start KP.
If opponents have big post-up 4 then O'Q should start.
KP will need to play around 20 min if healthy anyways.
It is not about who is starting but who is finishing games..

exactly..

Well....if KP starts....this gives Fisher the freedom to bench him in crunch time without hurting his confidence. I still believe KP off the bench gives us more balance. That means we always keep a rim protector on the floor. KP will be forced to play around the 3pt line with Rolo in the paint and Melo on the other block.

We're not utilizing kp to his full potential in that starting lineup. With the second unit he will be the focal point on offense....and we dont lose our rim protection. The paint isnt crowded so hes not forced to just shoot 3s.

I think people forget that this offense is designed to have bigs in and around the paint. It's not crowded when everyone is executing the offense properly. You really aren't supposed to just be standing around and clogging up space without any purpose. The ball reverses and guys are supposed to move and set down screens or pop out for a drag screen etc. It's a proven system where you can play with bigs at the same time. Case in point would be Pau and Bynum.

Let DWill and O'Quinn feast in the 2nd unit. Balance for both starting lineup and bench.

Yea, I don't think it would be beneficial for him at this moment to be a feature on the 2nd unit. You don't want teams to be able to focus on him at all right now. With his offensive versatility he can get easy buckets all over the court with the attention drawn away from him. He can just hitnopen jumpers, crash the glass, rebound, rim protect.

These writers should stick to writing and not trying to be a coach and saying who should and shouldn't be starting.

You show confidence in his talent and ability to become a franchise player by starting him right away, and adjusting his minutes based on matchups and performance along the way. We have very good role players off the bench who can play big minutes but are used to being in reserve roles. None of them have the talent of KP. Keep him in the starting lineup no matter what and distribute minutes of your big men based on performance.

Lets not forget that KP isn't gonna be able to handle playing games as much as we play them in the NBA so he's not gonna get many minutes and will probably even get full nights off sometimes so i'm good with him starting and think it's the right move.
