No...its not, but he will try to convince you it is anyway.
Noah is now on the top of the key making passes and taking 3s. Will be fun to watch...no?
speak for yourself please. Don't tell others what is fun for them to watch.
Did speak for myself, and I recall you being critical of posters who question this style and you scoff at any kind of old school offensive strategy or player usage. If you give, you know you have to get.
Phil Jackson is right...it can be a very boring style of play which seems to cater to players who have played in simplified systems in college or HS and are not able to make decisions on their own. The best teams seem to use hybrid systems. Of course I want to have guys getting and hitting open 3's, but there is more to the game than that, and hopefully we can see a balanced and flexible offense which can adapt to situations and not become too predictable.
by balanced, I would like to see a balance of 3's and shots at the rim. Getting loads of shots from 20 feet I hope is not in the equation (again).
The shots right near the 3pt line are problematic, since I have to think that the shooting % would be close to shooting a 3 but not as rewarding.
I think Phil brought in Sasha Vujacic for this reason, as well as his Triangle experience, and I would hope that Galloway is more of a 3 pt shooter this year.
Been watching some clips of Galloway and trying to figure out if he has changed his shooting motion at all. Seems like there is less arm swing in his shot- less hitch, I suppose...at least from some of the clips I've seen. Might be my eyes, though.
I actually expect to see some offensive changes, but it is nothing they're going to make a big deal about. KP, Vujacic, Calderon, Gallo, and Aflalo are all more than capable shooting the 3.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
