walker is a VERY versatile player. he can do many things and mark cuban himself said they asked walker to change his game up and he did without any problems. walker can handle the ball, he can post up, he can rebound and he can shoot. bringing him to the team gives us 3 players that can handle the ball (marbury, tt, toine) which is what we sorely needed against the nets. i think isiah will make the deal that he can make. he has his list of who he wants the most and he'll go down that list.

ilguaskas (who will not be traded. gund loves this guy)
dampier
swift
etc. (in no particular order)

any one of those guys would make us better no matter who we give up (and sweets isn't going anywhere). so it's an upgrade. forget about who we want more b/c any one of those guys improves us. so if we end up with toine, don't cry b/c we didn't get Z. and i say again, like a broken record, we're fine if we do NOTHING and give frank, sweets, and now ariza/dermarr more time.

i'm the biggest sweets fan out there and i know all of us want to see him develop into a beast. isiah has repeatedly said he loves the guy so if he brings someone in, it's not going to hinder sweetney. remember guys, sweetney could just develop into a great player off the bench. it's possible.

you are not agreeing with me. i dont like antoine walker and the only thing i would like about acquiring him is if we can get rid of sht contracts and have him for either an ending contract to facilitate a trade or just to run out so the Knicks have some cash---

what is antoine walker? he really is a pseudo SF and we have one making the max hes a player with no discipline who plays little defense with questionable character and he wants more BIG money

get rid of moochie norris KT and someone elkse to open up roster spots and have an ending contract GREAT having walker as a player--he will be booed within 2 months

Isiah's hands are tied and he should just take what he can get at this point. Personally, I'd like to get Z in here before Walker or Dampier, and give Sweetney the starting PF spot. But, with what we'd be giving up(KT+Shandon+Moochie), it's hard not to like the proposed Walker trade. I could live with him for a year as starting PF with Sweets as backup, and he does allow us some flexibilty in our rotations. If we end up extending him though, I wouldn't like it unless Isiah has a plan to trade TT next year when he's an expiring deal.
