And once again, you call out names, misdirect and say nothing of consequence.

Proving yourself in game threads. SMH.

You have nothing to say, but you've obviously talked yourself into believing that nothing is "the nuts and bolts of the game". BTW, did you ever read that book by Holzman?
Or do you enjoy just continually ****ting stuff out?

When you say something that isn't true, about me, I consider that slander and therefore, you lied about me. Hence I called you a liar... not in the childish way that you mocked me.

You said "You" when you responded to me. I am not a Melo hater and as I said, I have no problem defending him at a given time or criticizing him. I personally think he does get way too much flack/criticism but I also don't think he's a superstar. There are too many flaws in his game to top off his recent injury problems that prevent me from agreeing with people who do think he is a superstar. How is that hating?

I only criticized you because you seem like you get extremely offended when someone even slightly nitpicks him. Guess what, not everyone is going to think everything and everyone you like is all peaches and cream. I am not sure you knew that but in case you didn't, I am here to inform you about that now. You can thank me later.

you are here to bait others and not talk Xs and Os.

The whole "does Melo make his teammates better" argument, which will continue to rage on for the rest of eternity, misses the point. What he does is lessen the burden on his other teammates. Scoring enough points against NBA defenses is incredibly difficult. A healthy, effective Carmelo Anthony mitigates much of that difficulty -- he gets tons of buckets at a fairly efficient rate, with minimal help from others. He throws the defense out of whack, which leads to open shots for others. All that he needs to build an above-average NBA offense is a group of guys who hit open shots, know where to stand and cut, and who aren't actively tripping over their own dicks for 48 minutes.
Sadly, that hasn't been the case for much of the past two years. It should come as no surprise that Anthony thrived, even for a few weeks, next to guys like Amundson and Galloway -- certainly not the most talented of players, but guys who know what to do and when to do it.

And your carefully thought out, analytical X and O's-based response was this:

snappy prose but basically a wankfest.

Not even an attempt to try and validate the likes of 2 weeks of Lin, or JR SMOTY, or ShumpBrick, or even the offensive gifts of Tyson Chicken, SammyD or Amare Dribble Off My Feet Standinmire.

bait Melo masterhaters? who needs bait?

the part you bolded is merely anecdotal, not a genuine analysis of his teammates-- but worse, the author has swallowed the canard that you have a superstar with a supporting cast, which is nonsense. the author is a moron, all hat and no cattle..

but yeah please latch on to this idiot's POV. it does not change the fact that you are out of your depth when it comes to the nuts and bolts of the game.

you will have a chance to prove yourself during game threads. whatever contributions you may have made to game threads in the past were not particularly memorable....

DK, the fact that you respond to anything positive about melo with utter hate, you really have the nerve to call some one a moron.

IF we traded melo tomorrow i wouldn't give sht, as long as it's a good trade. you on the other hand wouldn't mind if we have the worse team for the next 10 years in exchange for releasing melo for nothing. He could save your family form certain death, and you would say "THANK YOU, YOU FCKING DOUCHE"

So how can you have an intelligent conversation with you on the subject

i have spoken positively about melo when there is something positive to say about him. what you are saying is simply not true. if he does-- or says-- something that is positive then i will acknowledge as much. and when he does-- or says-- something negative then i will acknowledge that too.

not my problem that he mostly does and says stuff that is negative..

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Melo is not very good at expressing himself and understanding how his words will be received. Not good at understanding how to make statements that put him in the best light. He's just not that guy. Thank God we have KP who is already more quotable and seems to have a more cheerful disposition. KP seems to get IT and as he develops his voice will likely carry more weight. At least that's what we have to hope. In the meantime, the less Melo says the better.

Melo was not a chatty young 19 year old enjoying his celebrity after his NCAA performance? We now talking about a 12 year vet, max player who is not trying to establish himself and has to guard his privacy. With Max money comes the responsibility of being the face of the franchise. Given the scrutiny of Media and the even more brutal fans he must also be very careful of what he says. For now, PorzinGod is kid in the big city enjoying the non savior expectations for now.

Thank god? Not yet. Remember god is not a Knick fan.

It's not easy being so easily offended, Nalod. The world is such a difficult place for us peaches and cream types...

And by golly, here I thought everyone on this board loved Me70!

I'm not accusing you of thinking everyone loves Melo. I am accusing you of thinking that every Knick fan SHOULD love Melo.
