No zip or power on his throws. People just like to hate on Geno but he's a young and talented player that was starting to put it together.

As a bills fan I can tell you that Fitz has a terrible arm, bad accuracy and is a pick machine.

Don't you worry about Fitz, we also reached out to Sexy Rexy as a precaution.

That's the thing. People just assume that Fitz is automatically better than Geno. Fitz has been a better QB mainly because he's older and all Geno has is a Rookie and Sophomore season with bad offensive talent around him. Geno isn't a finished product and is still developing. Fitz is a finished product and on the way down. I think he'll probably be just fine as a game manager for the team. They have a good run game and tough D. We have good receivers so Fitz should be able to function at a decent enough level, but he doesn't have the upside that Geno has, which is why they had Geno ahead of him.

I'm hoping Fitz plays well cuz I want to make the playoffs. I just thought Geno had more upside. Geno has a stronger and more accurate arm and he can run effectively. Geno was making good progress so far. It's just a shame.

Welch on a gambling debt and piss or dismiss a guy in his face, you will get sucker punched 12 times out of 10.

Geno is a born loser. Period.

LOL, that is pretty bad. Owe a big lineman some money and insult them in their face?
Not sure if it is a sucker punch at that point.
I do feel bad for the guy and violence is not an answer, but in football don't be shocked.

This seems to contradict the last story and shows some class by smith.

Class and Geno don't go hand in hand. It's why Todd Bowles even said as much. He said "it takes two to tango, so Geno absolutely pulled some douche

The is terrible and then there is incompetent. Fitzpatrick is terrible and Geno the latter both on the field and off the field. Jets fans will realize this when Fitzpatrick is terrible and the fans are actually thrilled with the teams progress

Geno close last season playing well and was showing a lot more improvement so far this year. Everyone including Mike Westhoff said he looked impressive. A young QB with good arm and leg talent is never a good thing to lose.

Bowles has said that Geno isn't guaranteed his starting job back. If Fitz is doing the job and the team is playing well, he won't switch back to Geno. This is a huge problem for Geno's career. He stands a chance that he may never get his job back. The Jets also have Petty learning in the wings. If he shows some potential with the opportunities he'll get as the #2 that could be a huge issue for Geno. In the end Geno really needs to grow up and handle himself much better. You can't get into situations with teammates over stupid stuff. Handle your business like a man and a professional. From here on Geno is really gonna have to show he deserves this job on and off the field.

Not really, he deserved it though. Geno provoked IK. Probably said something dumb like you'll get your $600 when I feel like it. Just pay the man!

That's why he got knocked the phuck out.

That $600 is chump change. No way that was really the issue. It was probably the principle of the thing. One report is that Geno tried to squash the beef at the beginning of camp. We don't know all the details but in the end i'm just tired of the BS. Geno has to grow up and it may already be too late for him.

Macc and Bowles aren't gonna mess around with him. This whole thing probably left a bad taste in their mouths. If Fitz plays well he's sticking as the QB until they can get Petty fully ready for the job. That may not happen this year but I think they are looking for another answer at QB. They didn't draft Geno and have no real investment in him. Petty however, is Macc's pick and i'm pretty sure they can't wait for him to be ready to legitimately compete for the starting QB job. He's just not ready yet, but this is gonna help accelerate his development.

Houston tried to do this exact same tning last year and they benched him because he threw too many picks...

From Spotrac:

Geno Smith signed a 4 year, $5,019,603 contract with the New York Jets, including a $2,030,620 signing bonus, $3,068,784 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,254,901. In 2015, Smith will earn a base salary of $585,000 and a roster bonus of $276,328. Smith has a cap hit of $1,368,983 while his dead money value is $1,015,310.

For a measley $600 ticket. Geno didn't man up when it was time, shouldn't said whatever he said to IK, and that's the end result when you say something stupid to 250 LB angry linebacker. He didn't deserve to get his jaw broken, but he 10000000000000% deserved to get socked for acting like a douche.

Geno is far from a saint. He sulked and stormed the green room on draft night, because he didn't get drafted in 1st round. Immature and couldn't handle adversity. Black Flag #1. Allegedly sexted his junk to some chick in North Carolina ala Brett Favre. Flag #2. Gave the bird and some choice curse words to the Metlife Crowd for booing him for a poor performance. Flag #3. Late repeatedly for team meetings to go over game plans and just being a professional athlete when you're probably the most in need of prep. Flag #4. Got kicked off an airplane over a seat assignment and was yelling phuck you to everyone including the cops. Flag #5. AND of course this incident on being a scumbag teammate that doesn't repay his debts. Flag #6.

All these incidents are not even mentioning his piss poor play on the field. Didn't even mention his take on the Butt Fumble:

This here is the face of a reprehensible human being.

Good riddance Geno! You loser on and off the field. Fitzmagic time!

Looks like I was spot on with Geno provoking the "fight". Where's BigRedDog when you need him?

It started with a dare. Ryan Clark, an NFL analyst for ESPN, gave a blow-by-blow Wednesday morning of how the drama between Jets quarterback Geno Smith and now-former reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali unfolded after speaking with two players who were in the locker room. Smith “put his fingers” in his teammate’s face before he was sucker-punched, sustaining a broken jaw that will sideline him for at least six weeks. “These guys were in each other’s face,” Clark said on ESPN’s radio show “Mike & Mike.” “Geno put his finger in his face and told the guy, ‘Well, you’re not going to do anything about it.’” He was wrong, as the tough-guy comments caused Enemkpali to knock Smith to the ground with a single punch. The trouble started when Enemkpali laid out $600 for Smith to travel to a football camp in July. Weeks went by and he didn’t get reimbursed. “It became about the fact that Geno wasn’t necessarily apologetic and being in a way remorseful about the money when saying he was going to pay IK back and he didn’t,” said Clark, a former safety with the Steelers, Redskins and Giants. “He was rather smug about it.” Clark knows from his own dealings with Enemkpali that the hulking 24-year-old doesn’t mess around when it comes to his money. “This guy is really tight about money, he really is,” Clark said. “He couldn’t [move on].” He added he’s spoken to Enemkpali since the fight, saying he was “extremely apologetic.”

Geno, Mutombo wagged his finger in IK's face and pretty much sang En Vogue "Never gonna get it Never gonna get it" like a smug a$shole so he got his come uppance.

BigRedDog....you want to come out of hiding yet!
