That is Phil loss because this roster is full. We are a little short on point guards, and given caledrons process to injury it would be safe add another point guard. It is really funny how this wouldn't be an issue if we didn't rush to sign him in the first place.

The roster has 3 lead guards as Phil would say.

Thanasis is a swingman... part small fwd/shooting guard.

Bye

Have you seen him handle and shoot the ball? jeez.
Even if he is a shooting guard, when caledron or grant goes down you will be fine with a scrub like vuajnic playing big minutes. Okay. I can see that we have all settled to lick Phil's balls no matter what. Let's see what happens during the season.

I am a fan of Thanasis, I believe he can develop in to a lockdown defender and play a similar role to Trevor Ariza did for the Lakers, as he improves the baseline 3pter just as Ariza originally slowly progressed to to shooter he is today with great length/athleticism and versatility when he was in his prime
I am hoping we can keep Thanasis with a cap friendly contract extension and become an expiring sometime after 2020/2021 when his brother Giannes will be a UFA, possibly as leverage so they can play together when CA's contract expires

I think Early is the one that we should try to trade, I can see Thanasis at least DEFENDING the SG and more positions than Early and fit in as a SG better, while both are closer to SF's
And I really just can not stand both Lance Thomas and Lou Amundson, I really CAN NOT, I think the 3m spend on them could have been better spend in a billion different ways

Sometime around the trade deadline after further evaluation and while Lance Thomas and Lou Amundson fully teach their 1/2 season of Triangle Experience and pass on their HIGH WORK ETHIC/HIGH CHARACTER
Please break up the BIG 3

Some players I would like to trade for are ALL IN THEIR FINAL YEARS OF THEIR CONTRACTS
Some are also in their botton depths charts of their respective rosters
If the teams have no plans in resigning those players selected, maybe they trade them like we did with our roster with JR Smith/Iman Shumpert, Pablo, Amare (buyout but same theory)
To allow them to play for a team that they could potentially sign a future contract with

Last season I was HUGE on Tony Wroten and hoped we would have traded for him, this year I think Russ Smith could break out along with Spencer Dinwiddie (if Jennings isn't able to play early)
Russ Smith's could be a combo guard that is similar to Manu, simply fit through cracks on PnR's

Though if the team is in a contending play off spot they would unlikely do so unless they get something back in return

players such as

James Johnson
Evan Turner
Troy Daniels
Russ Smith
Tony Wroten
Randy Foye

Toronto
==========
James Johnson (someone has to defend Lebron and the other premiere scorers in the league that are SF/PF's and BIG SG's)

After NOT playing much with many DNP's late in the season and garbage minutes at best in the play offs
He has improved his ball handling, baseline 3pter, and is already a very good 1v1 defender and help defender
Though it seems like Toronto wants to be able to play DEFENSE this year with the changes they have made, always been a fan of his

1 Kyle Lowry
2 Cory Joseph
3 Delon Wright

SG 1 DeMar DeRozan
2 Norman Powell

SF 1 DeMarre Carroll
2 Terrence Ross
3 James Johnson
4 Bruno Caboclo
5 Ronald Roberts Jr.

PF 1 Patrick Patterson
2 Luis Scola

C 1 Jonas Valanciunas
2 Bismack Biyombo
3 Lucas Nogueira

Celtics
==========
Evan Turner, Celtics were already loaded with many PG, SG's, and COMBO GUARDS to begin with, while lacking some SF's, maybe Lance Thomas and Early

1 Marcus Smart
2 Isaiah Thomas
3 Terry Rozier

SG 1 Avery Bradley
2 R.J. Hunter
3 Corey Walden

SF 1 Jae Crowder
2 Evan Turner
3 James Young
4 Perry Jones

PF 1 David Lee
2 Jared Sullinger
3 Jonas Jerebko
4 Jordan Mickey

C 1 Amir Johnson
2 Tyler Zeller
3 Kelly Olynyk

Bobcats
=========
Troy Daniels - a quick and small guard that is a SNIPER but can fit through cracks with his speed/quickness, reminds me of a young quick Mo Williams
They have a 15man roster

Aaron Harrison, Troy Daniels, and Elliot Williams fighting for 2 spots

1 Kemba Walker
2 Jeremy Lin
3 Brian Roberts
4 Aaron Harrison
SG 1 Nicolas Batum
2 Jeremy Lamb
3 Troy Daniels
4 Elliot Williams
SF 1 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
2 P.J. Hairston

After adding Lin and signing

Memphis
=========
Russ Smith

1 Mike Conley
2 Beno Udrih
3 Andrew Harrison
4 Russ Smith

SG 1 Courtney Lee
2 Vince Carter
3 Jordan Adams

SF 1 Tony Allen
2 Jeff Green
3 Matt Barnes

PF 1 Zach Randolph
2 Jarnell Stokes
3 JaMychal Green
4 Jarell Martin

C 1 Marc Gasol
2 Brandan Wright

Philly
========
Tony Wroten who is recovering from his knee injury
Ish Smith and Isiah Cannon played well for them LATE last year while Wroten played very well prior to MCW recovering from his injury

Philly is just a mess and if they sign Norris Cole it would be interesting after trading away MCW, drafting OK4 with Mudiay available

1 Tony Wroten
2 Isaiah Canaan
3 Pierre Jackson
4 T.J. McConnell

SG 1 Nik Stauskas
2 Hollis Thompson
3 Scottie Wilbekin
4 J.P. Tokoto

SF 1 Robert Covington
2 JaKarr Sampson
3 Gerald Wallace

PF 1 Nerlens Noel
2 Carl Landry
3 Jerami Grant
4 Richaun Holmes
5 Luka Mitrovic

C 1 Jahlil Okafor
2 Joel Embiid
3 Furkan Aldemir

Nuggets
=========
Randy Foye - a Phil Jackson type LEAD guard, I guess, like Calderon/Galloway in a sense though

Name
PG 1 Emmanuel Mudiay
2 Jameer Nelson
3 Erick Green
4 Nick Johnson
5 Nikola Radicevic

SG 1 Randy Foye
2 Will Barton
3 Gary Harris
4 Jamaal Franklin

SF 1 Wilson Chandler
2 Danilo Gallinari

PF 1 Kenneth Faried
2 Darrell Arthur
3 Kostas Papanikolaou

C 1 Jusuf Nurkic
2 J.J. Hickson
3 Joffrey Lauvergne
4 Nikola Jokic
5 Joey Dorsey

If Cleanthony Early continues to show he's ready to contribute as he did in SL then I think Thomas is the guy that may be moved to make room for another guard. Early has far more youth and upside over Thomas. They simply need to see him play well in camp and Pre Season.

I think he stays- likely he agreed to the dleague last year under the understanding he'd get a roster spot this season

That was my thinking. He had opportunities to make more than $25,000 last year by going to Europe. His summer league performance was terrible on offense other than easy dunks setup by other players. The kid cannot shoot at all. I am guessing the Knicks had already promised they would sign him and give him some guaranteed money. Whether he actually makes the team is another story.

I am a little surprised with this signing but i'm sure the partial guarantee is worth holding onto him longer while they figure this out. But we now have 10 players who will be in the front court only, and 5 in the back court. Will be interesting to see how this is balanced out.

Thumpo can play the 2 or the 3.

He was great in the last game and you're right that this kid will give us everything he's got when he's on that court and his athletic ability is unbelievable and his defense is good especially how he gets those blocks from behind.

That means
PG: Caledron, Jerian grant , vuajnic
SG:afflalo,Galloway,thanasis
sf: melo, early, Thomas
Pf:zinger;Amundson; derrick williams(I don't see anything that justifies williams being better than amundson)
C:Robin Lopez, Oquinn, Seraphin

I really love the way our center position looks;however, I will dread the day that vuajnic will end up playing Significant minutes as a point guard. I hope thanasis is in the gym as we speak working on his handles and his shot.

I think Langston gets the minutes at the point if needed.

Fans like me? You mean fans who express their concerns when they feel our front office has made a few questionable decisions? You mean fans who refuse to get on their knees for Phil Jackson and lick his balls no matter what move he makes even if it gets another disgraceful season, much like last season? You mean fans who like to see the reality in every situation rather than the optimism? I like fans like me.

I hate Galloway as a PG. He can't see the floor well at all for a point guard.

Yeah. I think they might like Saunders but they set him up with some money to help with the monetary sacrifice of staying in Westchester.

Thats exactly what i think

Cleanthony Early can shoot and he improved his handle. I would place him as a shooting guard backup or 3rd string and move thanasis as a 3rd string small forward

RoLo/Kyle/Seraphin
Derrick/Krispy/Amundson
Melo/Thomas/Thanasis
Afflalo/Early/Vujacic
Grant/Calderon/Galloway

Early looked much more aggressive in SL. If he continues to show growth I think they'll put Early at the SF spot behind Melo and in front of Thomas and move Vujacic behind Afflalo, with Gallo at SG/PG. Thanasis if he makes it will likely be out of the rotation IMO and inactive. LT and LA will probably alternate as the other inactive guy.

Every player on the roster can play 2 positions. So we have all positions covered. Also i like your layout the best and think its pretty accurate. But the thought should now be on balancing the skill set. Do we have enough sharp shooters to keep people out of the paint? Hows our team IQ on defense?

We have a solid defensive lineup at all 5 positions. ...when was the last time we had that?

Is Thanasis the 14th or 15th signing? I can't find who were our others.
Is there still a chance for Wesley or Atkins (is it) - those two rooks who I thought got camp invites?
We can have more than 15 contracts including camp, no?

Not sure on Thanasa. I actually had more hope for the before mentioned rooks...

Thx in advance,

Why are you obsessed with the idea of people licking Phil's genitals? That's twice you've mentioned it. Is there something you'd like to tell us?

Why do the most ardent critics seem to slip into sexual metaphors so readily these days?
