that's bashing the pick? You have to be kidding me. Oh.. and YES, your ass DOES looks fat in those pants.

But why take my word, or try to twist that twitter around. Here's what Melo said DIRECTLY (as in from him, not the Post or Daily News)

Anthony replied to people posting on his account that there was “no drama” with the front office’s decision and that Porzingis was a “steal.”

Carmelo Anthony reached out to Kristaps Porzingis, the New York Knicks' first-round draft pick, on Saturday after reports surfaced that the Knicks star was unhappy with the organization's decision to select the 19-year-old Latvian.

"Carmelo reached out to Kris after all of that. It was beautiful that a player of that profile can do something like that. It's great," Porzingis' older brother, Janis, said Monday during an appearance on ESPN 98.7 FM's "The Hahn and Humpty Show."

Carmelo Anthony talked with Kristaps Porzingis, above, amid reports that the Knicks star was unhappy with the organization's decision to draft the 19-year-old Latvian, his brother, Janis Porzingis, said Monday. Rob Tringali for ESPN

On Friday night, Anthony wrote on Instagram that Porzingis was "a steal" and that he "can't wait" to see him play.

Amazing the NYC fans believe Stephen A Smith or Frank Isola over Melo. I really don't get the drama with this player. Just another rich jock... you would think he's running for POTUS

Damage control for his brand, just like the Post article I originally posted.

Why didn't Melo tweet out originally "Welcome to the Knicks Kristaps" instead of bashing the pick with "What's understood doesn't need to be spoken upon" #DestiNY #TheFutureIsNow IE Translation "I hate this pick".

because what he believes KP is the future (which now just happened) and greatness is their DestiNY. That's what he meant. See how that works?

Or you could just tell yourself whatever and go hate on Melo. There's a few here who are only here for that, so there will be some good participation.

I guess at this point why do you care? I mean I posted stuff that came directly from Melo, yet you choose to cling to an obscure interpretation rather than just read what the guy wrote. Who cares? Cmon man.. just open your eyes. Watch the team. Look at who they brought in. Can you make judgements based on that or do you need Stephen A to tell you what's REALLY happening? You can do it Chuck!
Cmon now!

Couldn't he have tweeted Welcome to #Knicks @kporzee ? That's what 2 Billion normal people in the world would've done.

You interpreted his message wrong. He's clearly panning the pick, saying we drafted a future project, and "Melo's" time is now not the future.

Phil actually did a nice job of putting some muscle around Melo to help him and protect him. KP, Jerian, RoLo, O'Queens, Aflack and DWill are great fits around Melo. He has a team around him that should be able to function at a high level and doing all the little things and dirty work this team needs. I know the names aren't sexy but the things they bring to the table should really make for a solid base and support for Melo. This should be a playoff team if everyone does what they usually do or plays to their talent level.

This is like a bible study in 140 characters or less. Even though something is vague and means absolutely nothing, people will interpret it whatever way validates their already existing beliefs. That way they get to tell you you're wrong and are going to hell.

Shit, I think I just accidentally proved Melo is God.

involved in bringing in players?!? what players? do you have any examples, rumors even?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony haven't talked since free agency began, and team president isn't concerned if Knicks’ star is upset with latest moves

LAS VEGAS – Carmelo Anthony is a franchise player in name only. Phil Jackson revealed on Monday that he hasn’t spoken with the Knicks superstar since the start of free agency and added that he isn’t concerned if Anthony is upset over the direction of the club.

“Well, you know, we’re a team sport,” Jackson said. “When we’re putting a team together that’s our first priority; how do we make a team that works together? That’s the important aspect. How this all comes together is still a mystery for us. We’ve got five months to kinda get into it here.

“Obviously Carmelo is a guy that is a premier player, we understand that. But it’s a team game. And it has to fit together.”

It's time to sharpen up Knick fans, you are being played...

being played, how? melo got all that money and a no-trade. now he has to sack up and be a good employee for the good of the knicks. you should be applauding these developments. what's your problem? the plan is no longer catering to the primadonna?

I think his issue is with Isola misrepresenting what Phil said in the interview that was broadcast during the game. Just what I got from reading his post. Most of the interview is up on msg if you missed it during the game and confirms what holfresh is saying.

He(Melo) basically is saying he doesn't need to air his displeasure over the Porzingis pick and Hardaway trade, it should be common knowledge.

Holfresh, you gotta stop rooting for the jersey names and start rooting for the "jersey".

It took me a few years to separate myself from this thought process, and now I can see team sports clearly. I pretty invented the "Youtube Melo" thread!

Separate yourself from the player, and root for the team and I think you'll have a better go of it.

ChuckNBuck you have got to start using your brains...You are being played like most...Look at the most recent article by Isola yesterday that I refused to post because of it's obvious attempts...I saw the Phil Jackson interview..It was completely written differently to be provocative...To reach gullible Knick fans..It's working...

Holfresh, stop being so defensive about any Melo criticism, it's unbecoming of you.

Love the Knicks and team and whoever puts team before themselves, not the "player". Detach yourself. You'll see it's better this way.

I tired of the bullshiit...You are being played..You are a victim..No shame in that...

It's okay Holfresh, I admit I was a Melo groupie before. Posted dozens of Youtube videos on his behalf on this site alone.

I've seen the light...this guy is not a team player. Everything negative or derogatory said or quoted about him is true, and I accept that I was wrong for believing him to be something that he wasn't.

He's a poor man's Allen Iverson in a 6'8 puffy body. Ain't nothing wrong with that, both will probably enter the hall due to sheer buckets.

That said, at least AI was able to drag the Eric Snow/Aaron McKie/George Lynch/Mt. Mutombo sad sack of a team to the NBA Finals at least once in his career. No such case for Melo.

Root for the team, root for the rookies, root for the new additions like RoLo, O'Quinn, Afflalo who all want to play and win here. Don't root for the guy that openly trashed our draft pick and the trade of his fellow chucker THJR.

So root for everyone on the team except it's best player? Oh okay..ots all about the team huh?

Thankfully phil is doing the right thing. He isnt listening to what melo wants. He is simply building a team and focusing on being good defensively.
