enyspree I agree with everything you said except that Barrett didn't look nervous at all, and vujacic is just a spot up shooter, other than that he looked like a stiff trying to dribble and the only person he gave problems was another stiff, brett nelson, wake up homie..... Ariza was owning his azz...

I only got to see the clippers game on MSG. I didn't get to see the 2nd game I hope in comes on at a later time or something so I could see all the plays u guys are talking about.

Ariza is a good finisher. Im hoping to see him develop his body for the rest of the summer and during the season. He can definatly change the momentum of a game. He is only 19 as well in 3yrs he could end up being a starter if he works hard enough. He also has the ability to make a positive conribution this season based on his athletism.

Say we land Crawford in that deal. Then the future core would be something like Marbury-Crawford-Ariza-Sweetney.

If you watched the summer league games, he clearly has the skills to play the 1, 2, or 3.

But the idea of him replacing Jamal Crawford is silly. Ariza has nice skills and I think he will become a good NBA player, but right now he's just competing against scrubs, 90% of whom won't make an NBA roster. Shandon Anderson is probably far better than most of the G/Fs in the summer league.

Then I guess I'll have to try and watch one.....I taped the one last night...nothing to do with the Knicks is easy to come by in Buffalo...

First of all Vujacic can't run the point, that is a joke, the guy can shoot and that is it.. other than that he is a stiff..

I don't know what game you were watching but Vujacic looked real good. He made alot of great passes. If you don't believe me, all the annoucers were RAVING about him. Ariza looked good too and was playing tough defense but don't put down Vujacic to build up Ariza because thats not how the game went.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Ariza was running the show....He was bringing the ball up court and calling the offensive sets....He can handle the ball and went behind his back several times like it was just natural...He made some increible passes and some of his turnovers were a result of guys missing some of those passes...I think they were as shocked as we were watching it....Ariza has game and has to be a lock to make the team....IMO, he has at the very least taken Demarr's spot already...DJ is going to have a tough time making the team this year...He better start ascerting himself in this summer league...He's still taking some bad shots and not driving enough....Barrett looked pretty good to me...He was pushing the ball and Sweets was keeping up with him...He is lightning quick and was knocking down some long jumpers...His size is the only thing working against him right now....I thought Brent Wright actually looked pretty decent inside, too...

Sasha was definitely the Lakers best player and I thought he looked pretty good...He looks pretty small too and seems like he can be 'out-phsyicalled'...

I agree about Sasha, I'm not sure where tkf's coming from on him being only a spot-up shooter. He handled the ball fine and did drive through the lane a few times.

I love the fact that Barret hakws the ball from end to end. By the time the Lakers went into their offensive sets, the shotclock was at like 11 seconds, all because Barret was guarding the point the entire time.

Ariza made three insane no look passes. He's a natural, and should push for playing time. I'm real excited to see him and Sweetney playing with legit talent. Some of Sweetney's fouls are garbage, the refs in this league aren't that good. He still makes a few stupid fouls, but there were 2 times when he was whistled on a bad call.

I hope they can bring all of Ariza's talent out. He has the goods. I was pretty sure Trybanski's "sprained ankle" coincided with the Bulls accepting the deal last night.

That's a good point about Trybanski; I didn't even see him injure his ankle on any play. Did anyone else see him injure it? Sometimes you can mildly tweak an ankle without the injury being noticable to other people, though.

Philin...I see what time you posted this and it was well after the Ford thing about the Crawford deal being dead....do you know something we don't? What do you mean the Bulls "accepting the deal last night"?

several papers said Chicago had agreed to a deal last night; some articles have been posted on this forum.

In the paper this morning they reported that the Bulls accepted the deal late last night. Well, I was watching the Knicks last night and when Trybanski came out with the same ankle injury that Frank Williams has been sitting out with, I figured he was traded.

Yeah, supposedly the Bulls agreed to a deal last night, while the Knicks were the ones who hadn't yet as of last night. But with them wanting Crawford and the deal being a good one most people called it a done deal. Thats why its surprising the changes that have taken place.

By changes I mean that the deal was supposedly very close to done but then things change (like Deke instead of Moochie and the deal supposedly dead) and the deal gets in danger and right now we are not as sure as we were at the start of the day that the deal will get done.

I never believed any of that stuff. It came from ESPN and never made it to the web from a reliable source. Having years of experiencing Gammons bs, I don't believe any of the reporters on ESPN when they claim to have inside info.

Yeah, sometimes they just do it to talk, to create the reaction it had with some of us. Lets better believe the deal will get done. Hopefully it will, we'll just have to wait until Wednesday.
